ripprd off
I subscribed to their services to allow me the 3 years of use to connect with old friends and with in 3 months they were asking for me to subscribe again as if I never joined and when I emailed them I got no response so I called them and they insisted I was wrong but they would check into things and call me back, that was 2 weeks ago. Guess what, no calls yet, what a shocker.

Rip off!
I will start looking at back grounds before I do anything on line anymore... so far, it is NOT good! I have to log in each time I want to get in to anything!... I want to cancel this...hard telling what will happen!... I cannot get a hold of any one on line or by phone... I better get a full refund... or else! This is one of the BIGGEST MISTAKES I have made!

What a scam!
Just to check things out I registered (non-paying) with the false name of "Mark Rein". There was nobody at my high school with that name. Sure enough, I receive e-mails nearly every day alerting me that "somebody" has been searching for me!?! How could anybody possibly be searching for "Mark Rein"?? When such a person is non-existent? They're trying to lure me in with this mystery searcher and gee, all I have to do is "become a paying member" to find out who this person is. Uh-- no thanks. What a scam. Worst company ever!!!
I am so angry i can't take it anymore. I have never been so pissed off in my life. Here is what happened. I got a request to join reunion.com from someone i hardly knew, then i signed up for a free account. During sign up they asked me to log into my gmail account to import my contacts into their system. What they don't tell you is that they immediately import all your gmail contacts and then send invitations to all your friends to join reunion.com. I am talking about every single person you have ever emailed; your boss, your family, friends, in my case... all my professors in law school. I am so pissed off right now that i had to report this...someone needs to put these people. Please report on this... It should be illegal (it probably is). I will be apologizing to people for weeks.

Buyer beware!
Just want to say that they are very good at what they do. They actually had the name of a friend of mine from high school, so I thought what the heck, I'll pay the year. They automatically charged my card for three years, and now I am almost maxed-out on the card! I know that it is my fault for signing up, but I did NOT want the three years. From what I have read, I see I cannot even reduce the charge from three years to one year, so I am really stuck paying this stupid fee for a totally useless rip off and I every time I see their e-mails I could just kick myself. Buyer beware, caveat emptor and all that. The only reason their membership is so high is because they keep getting idiots like me to sign up. I'll be first in line if there is ever a class-action lawsuit. Not only that, but that "no refund" thing should be illegal--how can it possibly be legal? If you are dissatisfied with someone's services, don't you deserve a refund? I guess their lawyers knew what a rip-off the company was when they developed their policies.
Just need to vent. Thank you.

Unauthorized charges
Reunion.com automatically renewed my subscription even though I canceled this service. They charged my paypal account regardless of having disabled automatic renewal. I filed a complaint with paypal as well as filed a resolution with paypal and paypal said they could do nothing.
I am out 36.00 after I had cancelled the account months in advance. They are scammers and engage in fraudulent charging. Do not enroll in this service unless of course you would like to participate indefinitely!!!
CROOKS!!!

Charged my PayPal account after cancellation
I have a paypal account. I signed up with reunion.com for a subscription for 36.00. I found the people I wanted to see and I canceled the account well in advance of the resubscription date. They charged my paypal account anyways. I wrote to them to get the charge reversed. They did not write back. I wrote again, asking them to reverse the charge. They did not write back. I filed a complaint with paypal. Reunion did not respond. I filed a resolution with paypal and paypal said they could do nothing. I am out 36.00 after I had canceled the account months in advance.

Misrepresentation, unethical customer service
I have been led to believe I could obtain a full email address from this reunion.com after I pay the 3 year fee of $120. I am an insurance investigator and am well versed in databases. I thought I had found a good one. Instead, Earl advises me the "people finder" database is a separate company and the extra fees are not his concern. Earl advises my $120 is a fare price to tell me more information is available for an additional charge.
There are many rip off companies like this on the web. I was also led to believe my card would be charged $3 a month instead of the full $120. The "agreement" that says the fee is non-refundable has a window field of 3-4 lines and fails the legal contract prerequisites.
Thank goodness for American Express. If I don't get a refund, I will dedicate $4 an hour times 30 hours =$120, to spread the word for scam artists and frauds like reunion.com

School reunion website
I used an online reunion service this morning and was disappointed by their business practices. You sign up for either a 1 or 3 year service agreement and pay with a credit card. What they don't tell you is that if you click on any additional links on their search page - you are charged additional money. I feel that this is a very deceptive practice and opinions about these type of services would benefit the public in making informed decisions. The name of the company is reunion.com
