I purchased 3 braided wool area rugs from Down East Rug Company in January of 2009. The larger rug, which has been in my living room is now falling apart.
The threads are fraying and three sections of the rug have separated.

I understand that a company's warranty is usually for a year or less, but I would expect a rug to last longer than 2 years!

I have another old braided rug that is over 15 years old that is now in better condition than this rug.

Down East Rug Company contacted the manufacturer, Robin Rug Company, who said they would not refund my money.
I didn't expect a refund- I just expected that they would stand behind their product and at least offer to repair the rug. It appears that they could care less about their customers.
Before I buy my next rug, I will be sure it is not manufactured by this company. So much for " Made in the US"!
