on 5/1/08 we met John for initial estimate, he suggested - Oakpaver product, gave us the product brochure and estimate.

5/13/08 we met John again, gave him the drawing and dimension/size, picked the product, John gave us an estimate $3800, labor and material total, for retaining wall installation in the back yard and front, and burying the downspout with a clean out joint, he took $1500 deposit and wrote he will start on 6/2/08.

On 6/2/08 and 6/3/08 John did not show up. We kept calling, he replied on 6/3/08 said his daughter had an asthma attack. We told him that is understandable, and gave him one extra day to take care of his family on 6/4/08, he said he would come the next day 9am.

on 6/5/08, 9:30am, John did not show up, we called. He came with another young man at around 10am, dig a shallow 5-inch trench to bury the downspout. He buried a soft flexible slotted perforated downspout, without any gravel in the trench, and just cover the pipe with dirt. The connection between pipes was shallow (only 1 inch overlap) and not sealed, later it rained and water is leaking from the joint.

Then John and the man dug some dirt on the supposed retaining wall location. Both men left before noon.

6/6/08 John did not show up, did not call us. We called and called, finally reached him, he said he will start on 6/12/08 when material arrived.

6/11/08 we called RT Masters at 3pm to see if the material will be delivered on time, and was told the order was canceled by John a few hours ago. We were in shock! We told RT Masters that we were expecting John to start the next day. RT Masters told us they did not get a dime from John, and they called John to let him know that we want to complete the job. I left message to John and ask him to make the right decision to complete this project. Called several times and finally he picked up the phone at around 6pm, said the cost of material is too high, he does not want to do it, he will figure out over the weekend the number to refund us and mail it out on the coming Monday 6/16/08.

As of today, the actual work John Mosher did was less than 2 hours. He has not called us back or refund any money to us.

Be aware, he also do patio, waterproof basement, deck staining, and other handyman works.
