What looked like a safe, clean and relatively upmarket guest house on the internet, turned out to be a dirty, low-budget house with unfriendly, unaccomodating and downright rude hosts. Upon our arrival, we waited for ages for the gate to be opened. (an electric gate, but a low fence surrounding the property, which anybody could jump over) The hostess (suzette) ignored us while we waited outside the door and then told us that she was busy with an extra lesson. She didn't walk us to our rooms. Upon entering the room, I noticed that the bedding was stained (black nightfrills full of white stains) and hairs in the basin and shower. We also fould half a loaf of stale bread and a pair of dirty (!) socks in the cupboard. It was evident that the room had not been cleaned. No apologies were offered, merely a shrug. Upon our return later that night, the whole house was dark, NO outside lights were turned on. I had to pay a deposit of R1150, but only stayed there the one night. I am horrified that this establishment represent themselves as an upmarket, safe guest house!!!
