In July 09 Ramesh, from Royal security, badgered me for over 3 mths to change my alarm company. Eventually, I decided to give him a chance to show whether they could do a better job, with the proviso that I am able to give them 1 Mths notice to call it off.As I already had an alarm in my house, it was agreed that the NEW company would change the link up and check the system. I assumed that their link up was set up correctly. I was asked to sign a contact for R169 per month (due to the fact that Royal Alarm did not provide me with an alarm system) which I did. I discovered that Ramesh had not informed me that this was a 3-year contract and he agreed to give me a document in writing, from his manager Nash which stated that I had the option to call it off in 1-month. I was away in December and on returning discovered that the alarm does not work. My neighbour alerted me to this as there were no responses to alarms. It has not been rectified . I asked them to remove the radio - not done. I cannot stop the debit order with ABSA - have tried. The company refuses to stop the deductions. I do not want to continue with them. Money is taken out monthly for no service. ABSA is aware.
