Worst Cruise ever. Within 24 hours of visiting our first port (Haiti) I got sick and could not eat or drink for days. After 14 days of being sick and a ruined vacation I found out from my doctor I had contacted a parasite from abroad called Cyclospora (usually from ingesting food or drink that has been contaminated with infected stool). Google it to find out how gross this is. Symptoms still have not resolved and I have lost 17 pounds due to this illness. I contacted RC with no resolve and not so much as even an apology. I decided to contact the USPHS in hope of preventing others from getting sick. Definately not the Fun Ship...everything cost extra, entertainment is limited, very expensive compared to Carnival. My daughter was looking forward to the kids club scheduled slumber party where they would paint a pillow case. The staff told the kids the painting part was cancelled because they ran out of pillow cases. Really!! Could it have been a financial decision because there were over 1100 kids on board for this sailing...do they not have a room full of linen that they use for the staterooms daily. We have sonar, gps, and billion dollar ships that we navigate halfway acroos the ocean but we cannot plan for a $2.00 pillow case for a child...I guess my $4, 600 in tickets and another $1, 300 in shipboard purchases couldn't cover the cost...plan carefully when using RC.
