We've been without a fridge for more than a week. My 5 years old Samsung fridge just bite the dust and I was in the process of replacing it with the same model from Best Buy, that was due to deliver tomorrow december 28, 2008. While waiting for a new fridge, I'd attempted to check a few things to see if it could something simple. After removing the cover from the back of the unit, I can see build-up at all welding joints and also dripping of green powders at some of the welded joints. This is indication of poor workmanship to me. After visiting this blog, I decided to called Best Buy and cancelled my purchase of the new Samsung fridge and will replaced with Whirlpool at a higher cost. We'd Whirlpool fridge in the past and it would last a lot longer than 5 years' time. Thank you all for your input and for saving us from making another mistake with purchasing a Samsung fridge.
