GLASS BREAKS/DANGEROUS
We bought a Samsung fridge at Best Buy about 2 years ago. We were packing to move into our new home. My sister took the first shelf out of the fridge to clean it, and as soon as the wash cloth touched the shelf it EXPLODED!!! There were thousands of little pieces everywhere. Thank goodness my sister wears glasses. The glass flew across the room into the workers hair, all over the floor, it was a terrible mess. We went immediately to read the manual. On page 11 of the manual it states TRANSPARENT, unbreakable shelves. That is a lie and not only misleading to the consumer but a grave danger. I thank God the children were not present and no one was hurt. The model #'s for all the refrigerators with these defective BREAKABLE GLASS shelves are


RB195BSSB, RB215BSSB, AND THE LETTERS ARE SW AND VQ.

Plus all the other refrigerators sold by Samsung during the last 3 years.
Does your manual same tempered?? Do your shelves say temperd, are they tempered? They are like a bomb waiting to explode.

We have since found out that in the past year Samsung now states they have put tempered glass in the newer refrigerators. All the models that were sold with glass and falsely labeled as "unbreakable" need to be recalled before a very serious injury accurs. Please share it you have had this experience. If you have not had this experience check out your shelves before someone you know gets seriously injured.

Defective Refrigerator
Purchased a new Samsung side by side refrigerator 2.4 years ago. 9 months ago, the water filter Exploded! Flooded the entire refrigerator. Called Samsung, they asked for a list of lost food product. Supplied list. They called a week later and said sorry, your warranty is out! You're out of luck! Lost $400 in food products. 8 weeks ago, refridgerator began freezing all of the dairy and other items in it. The original problem was the water filter froze and blew up internally. Called for service from aftermarket service company, and they replaced all three circuit boards and sensors!Samsung refuses to respond to the problem. They won't return any calls, or emails! They could care less. Lowes Department Stores was nice enough to replace the entire unit after it was out of warranty this past weekend!!! Thank You Lowes! Samsung doesn't deserve to do business in the United States! I wouldn't purchase a Samsung product regardless of it's rating, at 1/2 the price!! They need to pack up and go back to the country they came from!

UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER SERVICE
I purchased a fridge from Lowe's in Aug of '07 for my new home. In June of '08, the temp on mode #RB215LABP was registering one thing on the screen/display outside of the fridge, but producing another temp inside --- a freezing temp--- cracked eggs, frozen dairy, drinks exploding...it was a mess...I unplugged and the temp adjusted .. but in July, when I filed a complaint with Samsung, the ice maker quit working, and since end of July, the temp in the fridge and freezer comes and goes...up and down...I never know what's going to happen...all the while, I've attempted 2 service men who were a no show, or too busy, and after a 3rd attempt (COMPANY), he was almost a no show...he comes, calls some Samsung rep and after telling them what I TOLD HIM was going on (I could have done this weeks ago myself if they would just tell you the number), he orders a control board, and new ice maker...3 weeks later, I'm still waiting and last week found out that this service repair company SAMSUNG MADE ME USE, owes Samsung money...so they won't ship him MY PARTS to repair my fridge! How crazy is that????? I'm being punished for the sins of a service repair man that THEY RECOMMENDED I must use...and he owes them money...so I have to WAIT! Finally today they tell me I will have to wait another week and a half, and she'll put in a "request" for a replacment/exchange...what? are you crazy? Like I want this to happen a year from now all over again???? This is insane! And they think you're crazy when you tell them this?!?!?! WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY MONEY BACK...NEVER EVER EVER BUY A SAMSUNG ANYTHING!!!

Leaking gasket within 2 years
Fridge purchased from Samsung Dealer at Asansol India vide Model No: SR.29EN(W) S No: 010249AW701216 dt: 22/6/05 defective manufactured.Repeated complaints has produced no result.Company appears to be an absolute fraud.Be cautious of these swindlers

pathetic service
My new fridge thats barely two months old started giving me problems..i contacted the company i purchased it from, who then contacted samsungs service centre...Its been more than two weeks since the initial query, and after speaking to a call centre agent regularly, i still have no joy. I even spoke to the head of the department - Mr Aslam Ali, who now doesnt take my calls, and is also giving me attitude..I havent been spoken to with such disrespect ever before. The service is really pathetic. Actually its really sad to see that an international company like Samsung developing a reputation for bad service, and its even sadder that the people who are there to help, dont actually care...
I definitely wont be puchasing another samsung product.

freezer
I bought a Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago and have had freezer problems since then. The freezer is on the lowest temperature and ice cream is so hard it cannot be dipped. The refrigerator is on the highest temperature and everything is warm. We run out of ice constantly & the freezer keeps freezing up. We have had the repairman out 4 times and he always says its fixed but it never is. I am going to call Samsung & request a new refrigerator!!!

Samsung's inability to service their clients!
The temperature on the fridge side of our double door refrigerator wasn't cooling anymore, the temperature just kept on going up. On friday the 16th November 07 I phoned several repair companies to come and look @ the fridge and to my surprise NOBODY was willing to come and even look at a SUMSUNG. As soon as I mentioned the make of the refrigerator they were not interested. The problem seems to be Samsung, they never have any stock, you wait days for them to respond to your request and it seems they just have this don't care attitude. It seems people in the US have the same problem, and I thought it was just because we were in Africa. I have always regarded samsung as being a good quality product. But with non existent after sales service no more samsung for me and I will not recommend the product either. PS Still awaiting part from Samsung!

Samsung manual only in Spanish
I bought one of your refrigerators on October 6, 2007. Unfortunately, I opened and cleaned it before checking the manual. The basic parts were already installed but there was one part that I did not know where to fit. When I checked the manual, to my surprise it is written in SPANISH ONLY. This manual is of no use to me. I then went on the internet and this product was not listed either. What do I do. How do I get the information. I suggest that your manuals be written in at least two languages. Also I am asking that the information for this particular product be posted on your website so I can have access to it.

Poor quality product!
I purchased my Samsung refrigerator on January 17, 2005 at Bestbuy in Patchogue for the price of $989.99 plus $50.00 delivery fee. I have enclosed herein, a copy of the sales receipt. In February of 2007 (the later part of the month) the freezer began leaking. The freezer was accumulating ice on the back part and then the ice would melt and then leak on the floor. I contacted Samsung who told me to call Dukes Appliance and they gave me transaction #4001295690. On March 7, 2007, a technician named Rob from Dukes appliance came and said the problem was that the drain was frozen and blew out the drain. The fee was $92.33 which I paid. On March 12, 2007 the freezer leaked again ruining my new wood floors. Dukes appliance sent a different technician, Andrew on March 14, 2007 who said the problem was the defrost kit and they would have to order one. I was once again without a refrigerator!!! In late March, when I called Dukes appliance to see when the defrost kit would be in, they said it was not the defrost kit and would sent another technician out to my house. On April 2, 2007, they sent Andrew and Carmine who proceeded to diagnose the problem for the third time. This time, they said that a wire (the heater connection) was off and they put it back on. They lost some of the screws that were needed to put the back of the refrigerator back on and my husband was extremely annoyed at the whole process. Here is four months later with the same problem. There obviously is a defect in this refrigerator. I have also contacted Samsung during the whole repair process. The hold time on the phone is extremely long (at times 30 min) only to be given to a "Special Tech" with another hold time. The outcome was that its our problem and not theres. If Dukes appliance would have given us receipts and said our refrig. was not good they may have gave us a refund. Get and KEEP all receipts! And get diagnosis in writing.
