I also had a car loan from Road Loans, who then became Drive Financial and finally Santander Consumer. They are HORRIBLE! First of all I became disabled at work so I fell behind on my payments. They said they would work with me, but neglected to state that there was a $10.95 LATE FEE per day! My original contract with Road Loans said nothing about that and I haven't received an updated statement of terms for this company.

I was paying $300 every 2 weeks to catch up. With the LATE FEES I was 55 days behind and made a $630 payment which now I am only 23 days behind. But all the late fee's bring me up to almost $1500. It will take years to catch up to the amount due. Of this $630 payment, $109 went to the principal and the other $531 went to INTEREST! This is a RIP OFF and must be illegal to say the least. This company is incredible with the harassment every day to get their money. I would not recommend dealing with them at all! If anyone has a class action suit - count me in!
