With the support of his wife Marisa and their five children, he opened Santayana Jewelers in Miami on 122 ave and southwest 8th street. Over time, Santayana became known for his innovative designs and custom jewelry.

Santayana designs are so recognizable, people stop each other on the street to compare their pieces.
