Have Had Hughes Net for 2.5 years, have had MAJOR connectivity issues about every 6m-1y.Their Indian Tech support scripts are useless, unintelligible and they don't care to help you or not. Took over 6 months for them to admit the service problem was not our brand new computers last time we had connection problems. We pay 150$ per month for 2.1Mbps and 550Mb/day downloads- the most we have ever gotten for download speed is 300kbps! If you go over download limit you can pay 12.50 to reset your service, but that gets expensive fast if you do anything other than send text emails only on the internet. YouTube? bad idea. Games? Bad idea. Streaming ANYTHING? bad idea. We needed to download a large file (4Gb)- so we scheduled it to download during their "unlimited download" period - between 2am and 7am. when we checked the comp at 10am the next morning we were over download limit and had only downloaded 450Mb!!! in 5 hours! If you have no other choice beside this or dial-up...Keep dial-up! when you go over download limits you LITERALLY get 1-2 KBPS- with dial-up there's no limits and you will at least get 56KBPS if not more! Stay AWAY from hughes Net if you value your wallet and sanity.
