"Don't Get Mad at Sears"
I mainly wanted to post a review to tell everyone not to be mad at Sears for their bad experience with their MasterCard. It's not Sears' fault, it's Citibank...so all of you who are saying you'll never shop at Sears again are just being silly.
Sears is a great store...but Citibank is pretty awful. They've closed many people's accounts for no real reason, other than a couple months of inactivity (mainly that's with their co-branded gas cards though).
And yes, obviously there's a high interest rate, but that's nothing personal...so to the people who are saying they have good credit and always pay off their balance every month, that unfortunately won't affect the interest rate because they just have the same interest rate for all their customers if it's a store or gas co-branded card. If it's a MasterCard from a regular bank or credit union, that's when they're able to lower your interest rate if you pay off your balance, etc.
So, in conclusion, please stop blaming Sears and taking the high interst rate personally. It's just Citibank and the way things are currently work when they have co-branded cards.
