I called 2 weeks in advance of the appt I set up to repair my treadmill and specifically requested the 1st appt of the day or as early as possible. I was told I would receive a call the night before to confirm the specific time of my appt (7/25/08). I never received a confirmation call and had to call by 9:45 a.m. to find out if and when a service person would be arriving. I was told that he was scheduled to arrive in the mid afternoon even though I made it clear that I was accepting an appt 2 wks from my initial call so I could be seen in the a.m. with a minimum of disruption from my business. Dispatcher was nice enough but totally incompetent. I questioned as to whether or not is was still legal to demand that customers not be given a specific time for an appt or at least a 4hr window rather than an 8hr window. The dispatcher claimed ignorance about this practice and offered to connect me with her supervisor but then re routed my call to an automated system. This is a terrible way to run a business, to say nothing of how rude and inconsideratae it is of customers' time and personal schedules!!!
