Shaad Bidiwala, MD is a board-certified neurosurgeon and spine surgeon serving patients across the Dallas–Fort Worth area since 2004. A Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Bidiwala specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar conditions, along with the surgical treatment of brain and spinal cord tumors and injuries.
Dr. Bidiwala earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville after completing bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering — a background that shapes his approach to modern surgical technology and precision. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and has been a partner at Texas Neurosurgery, LLP for more than two decades.
He is an attending neurosurgeon at Baylor University Medical Center's Level-One Trauma Center in Dallas and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. He also holds admitting and operating privileges at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Uptown, Medical City Dallas, and Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison, where he previously served as Chief of Staff.
Dr. Bidiwala has been named a Best Doctor in Dallas by D Magazine fifteen times. He and his team treat conditions including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, and spinal fractures using discectomy, spinal fusion, laminectomy, kyphoplasty, and other advanced techniques.
