I have travel with emirates airline in 2006 from dubai to paris. on arrival at paris cdg airport my baggage was lost by the emirates airline. I have made the complain on the spot, after arriving at home in Belgium I called emirates, wrote them many times even with registerd letters since 2006, the only word receive from them was a simply appoligy letter and then nothing.
My lost suitcase contained very valuable personal things worth of about 6500€. I would advice to peoples travelling with this airline to take insurance of baggage before boarding on emirates aircrafts.
