I met with the wedding planner in October to discuss packages. I was given a good price on a package. She checked her calender to make sure she was available for the date of my wedding, and she was. I returned home without a contract. She requested $3oo for deposit. We sent the money last month. She e-mailed me yesterday to report that the venue I wanted is unavailable for my wedding date. I have been wanting a wedding on the beach for a long time, finally going to have it, and then told...after I gave the deposit..that the beach isn't available due to a volleyball tournament. She offered other places that weren't acceptable to me. I have been requesting a refund of my deposit. I even went down to asking for only half of the deposit back and she refuses. I will be hiring someone else that I can trust.
