scammers
Be on your guard and buyer beware. I have used singlesnet for three years. Before I got a proper education on dating scams I was taken for five hundred dollars. The scammer turned out t0 be an infamous Russian scammer. There are entire organizations that use unprotected sites like singlesnet to run scams. Search Russian and or African dating scams. There are easy ways to spot a scammer once you do a little research. Watch for anyone who immediately offers thier personal address or alternate website. If they are in love with by the second week (lets get real) that is an instant indicator. If they need money to travel to visit you and think it is worth the chance after several months of letters, then offer to have a plane ticket waiting. They cant cash it or transfer it. Never send cash by wire. If they have a dying mother, hard luck, or need cash for travel, dont do it. They are pros and will likely get you to offer them something before asking, remembering they are experts and have been through thousands of people like you. If you meet someone from a foriegn country ask for the post address and mail them a letter, see what type of response you get. Ask for photos with proof of the current date. Look for improper english in the writing with words like (couse, my mum, and slang expressions). In singlesnet defense I have met and dated several nice ladies I met on the site but overall the majority are 50 lbs and five years older than they advertise. Throw out questions about thier family or specific questions about where they claim they live ( area code, phone prefix, etc) If they are a scammer they will dump you for putting them in a corner. Happy Hunting.
Look for sites that verify indentity and criminal background.

responses
I have sent over 50 flirts and/or e-mails over the last month. I have only received a couple of responses. This doesn't seem right to me. I don't think my e-mails or flirts are even being sent. I am a free member because I am disabled, but I e-mail paying clients and they never e-mail me back. My profile/pic seems attractive enough, what's going on here? I certainly will not consider paying for a membership to this site.

Fraudulant/Scamming Dating Site
I was only on singlesnet.com for a couple of days. I was locked out of my mail because to receive "points" to stay active you have to submit the email addresses of other people you know.

ALL the profiles are fake, the first thing they ask is your email address so they can talk to you when they are already on a site to contact you.

Since the 2 days I was on that site Im now receiving 2-3 times a day fraudulant email scams telling me Ive won money and I need to pay so much to get my winnings, or scams similiar to that one.

This whole dating site is based out of Nigeria and it should be shut down along with several other's Ive run across that are the same.

I deleted my profile but I still receive email notices in my spam box that someone from that site has sent me mail. I clicked on EVERY notice I received to NOT receive email alerts and they still came and Im STILL receiving them with NO profile posted.

Everyone on that site INCLUDING myself had to give out our full names, addresses etc and this is information that can be used against us for these people to take out loans in our names, get access to our credit etc.

Something needs to be done to remove ALL of these fraudulant dating sites from the internet.

access
Singlesnet.com, claims for one to be able to view, email others on the site but all one see's are small boxes with x's on them, even when your attempting to input your own info the site is not allowing you to. They claimed that I had restricted their website but when I checked all was fine on my end. I'm able to view all other sites with no problems. What a rip-off.

employees tampering with customer data
On 9/26/08 I updated 3 photos onto singlesnet.com and since this is a time consuming process i elected to leave the site open all night. When I awoke that morning I found that all of my data had been changed my race, description of myself and this long racist essay had been written about me. Since I live alone I knew that it had been executed by a singlesnet employee. A week prior to that I wrote my bio in a 2nd language french so that I might appeal to a particular consumer and this information was rejected nowhere in singlesnet rules does it state that a person must speak english. I wrote to them and they continued to reject my essay. I am very disappointed in this dating service and found this to be extremely unprofessional. I continue to try and contact this service to address this issue.

Scam and cheating
I find it particularly disturbing that singlesnet attracts so many Nigerian Scammers. I wrote to complain and the administrators blew me off. In case anyone doesn't recognize a scammer by now here are the signs: 1st contact they want you to set up an IM on Yahoo. Second contact they start telling you how much they love you. They also do not have proper English or phrasing of sentences. Just a heads up for those who haven't been through the drill.

Overall my experiences with Singlenet have been negative. The men do not post current pictures and are usually older then what their profile claims.

Fraud and cheating
Fake profiles, misleading contacts, con artists, I plus on 3 occasions they deleted my essay!?! At least half of the female members are too good to be true--they're fake, I'm sure!! Others are sweaty fat dudes sitting at internet cafes in Botswana posing as American women----yuk!! The thought that I flirted w/these dudes, yuk, yuk, yuk!!! Women that I actually reached said they had similar probs with guys online getting nasty and rude to them. Stick with matchmaker or other reputable sites... it's worth the time to research them beforehand. If they try to bill me a 2nd time--heaven help them!!
