On April 1, 2011 I was billed $125 for a credit card machine that I had given back in 2004. I was told that it was for taxes. I had the charges for the machine taken directly out of my account and was paid in full when I returned the machine in 2004. I was told by my bank that I had to deny the charges within 24 hours. This was impossible because I get the statement once a month. This is fraud and this company should be prosecuted, owners should be jailed and closed down. My bank told me that the only thing I could do was to close my account and begin all over so they don't do it again...a real pain.
They are probably making 100s of thousands of dollars charging each person an average of $100 each. What can I do to recoup my money...it is too expensive to hire a lawyer.
