Slide is the parent company of may applications for social networking sites such as Myspace, Facebook, and Hi5 among others. One of the apps that they are in charge of is Super Poke! Pets. In this game user adopt a virtual pet that they can then play with and buy items for. Items can either be bought with coins that are earned by: playing with your pet, playing with friend's pets, or friends playing with you, or you can buy premium items with gold. Gold is purchased with actual money in the amount of 10 for $1.00. After making a gold purchase your payment information (either pay pal or credit card) is saved to the system. Because of this there have been many cases where a person accidentally has purchased gold, but is not allowed to return it. There are also cases when gold is purchased, but the customer never receives the items that they paid for. These problems, as well as system glitches that have yet to be fixed, are all either ignored by SLIDE, or people are told that there is nothing that SLIDE can do.
