I purchased a Southern Cross Lawn Mower from Game at Westgate and when I took the lawn mower out of the box, it seemed some of the assembly screws were missing . Fortunately I was able to assemble it making a plan, but when I tested the lawn mower the front wheel also came off. Unfortunately the front wheel had nothing to do with the missing parts and as such would not fit back. The SOUTHERN CROSS lawnmower was unusable.

I contacted SOUTHERN CROSS in Joburg - no response. I then phoned Bloemfontein SOUTHERN CROSS ( as per their booklet) but that number did not work. I eventually found a SOUTHERN CROSS representative at 0860768849. This SOUTHERN CROSS representative on the phone were unhelpful to being downright rude. She basically said they do not care about their products and that any problems were not their problem. They also said that they will not assist no matter what I do.

I contacted Game and they were very helpful. They took the SOUTHERN CROSS rubbish back and I was able to replace it with another brand. The interesting thing is that another 5 SOUTHERN CROSS lawnmowers were also standing at Game on the 27th February, all returned with problems.
