Dr Lawal is a fellowship trained Electrophysiologist. He is board certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiology. He completed his internship and residency training at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, followed by fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. He then went on to complete his fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Texas Southwestern School Of Medicine (UT Southwestern), Dallas. This was followed by a second year of rigorous advanced fellowship training in Electrophysiology, focusing on complex ablation therapies for arrhythmias, also at UT Southwestern, Dallas. He earned his Medical degree from College of Medicine, University of Ibadan.
