Visited a month ago. After struggling for some time to get things to focus for a new prescription, the OD told me that I likely needed cataract surgery and recommended it was time for surgery, not new glasses. The referral was to a place that I eventually didn't have much trust in. I asked they send the referral to a different ophthalmologist that I did trust. Upon seeing that ophthalmologist, cataract surgery was NOT recommended. Partly because they very quickly zeroed in on a 20/20 prescription, something SpecialEyes could NOT do. i will be getting new glasses with the prescription from today. The visit to SpecialEyes Eyecare was nothing but money, time and stress....a horrible experience. I told them about my visit and essentially blamed it on me having sensitive eyes, which I do not. They took my money and gave me zero of anything tangible in return.
