I was bitterly disappointed and upset to learn recently that Subway are using Halal slaughtered meat in many of their London restaurants (I'm not sure about their other UK stores). I used to be a regular customer at Subway but I will no longer set foot in any of their outlets and neither will my friends. The Halal method of slaughtering animals is absolutely disgraceful and cruel. Compassion in World Farming, the FAWC and many animal welfare organisations have condemned this awful way of killing animals but Subway obviously place profits before compassion. Utterly sad!!!
