I received a coupon for $5 off on my purchase of $25 or more to be used on 1/8/11. I went to Dollar General and purchased $33.86, and the cashier attempted to scan the coupon numerous times without success. She then used another coupon which would not scan either. She also did a refund and attempted to rescan the items but this was not successful either. I told the cashier and manager that I felt that this was false advertisement and did not want to purchase the products since I could not get the $5 off as promised. I doubt that I will return to Dollar General or encourage anyone else to buy from a business that advertises false information. I think that this is a case for 10 On Your Side.
