Change of contract
Our family has a 2 yr contract for 4 phones with T-Mobile. Both the salesman & our contract said there were no roaming limitations. When we bought the plan, we explained where the phones would be located, & were told there was no problem. Less than 2 months ago, a T-Mobile salesman tried to get us to extend our contract (4 months early), & again stressed that there were no roaming limitations. A few days ago, with no prior warning, one of our phones was disconnected from service. It has been in the same location since our service started. When we called, we were told that T-Mobile has a new policy, & has substituted a new contract, & has cut out one of our phones because it made too many out of range calls. If we had been given adequate notice (we were given none at all), I wouldn't really complain. We could have looked for another mobile service. Now we are left in limbo...
As I'm sure most people understand, mobile phones have become a necessity in certain situations. T-Mobile offered no solution or help in our distraught circumstances.

Selling to unemployed
I am writing to file a complaint about T-mobile selling phones at the malls to young adults (19), that do not have a job to pay for it. They do not do a background check to see if they are employed and can be responsible for there phone. As a parent we were outraged with them. In the end we had to pay off the contract (300). So he didn't have bad credit at such a young age. I think it is just a way the company is making money off teens!!!

Terrible company
T-MOBILE: I have never in my life seen a company like this before! If a stranger walks into a T-MOBILE STORE they can charge and put anything they want on your cell phone bill! Their customer service say its impossible but it has happened to me, someone put four new phones on my bill! It has also changed my contract date or I would gladly discontinue this horrific service.
After having to go directly into their store because I could not get anywhere with their overly apologetic customer service dept. However once I was in the store I was told by them that if someone comes in to a corporate store with a phone of yours they most likely will be allowed to charge new phones on your bill! Yes! believe it... even if it's your account and don't sign for it!! I never gave anyone permission to charge on my account but they continue to charge me for the additional services every month that was placed on my account!
I also asked them to make changes to my service from 3k min to 1k min per month...IT ALSO NEVER GOT DONE! That was after waiting multiple times over the phone and finally going into the corporate and store waiting for over 2 hours to finally get a rep free in their store. Very understaffed! Their customer service people are always very nice and friendly on the phone! They have great phone manners but I think they are seriously instructed to get nothing done!
Also stay away, If you are like me and can be a little late at times, after 3 days late they are on you harassing you like a fly on poop! They will think nothing of cutting your service off in the interim, yes, if your just a little late, they will automatically freeze your service.
Most fair business practices give someone 30-90 days to pay a bill NOT THIS COMPANY!! At times your maybe your just late, (you may be sick, half dead in an accident)they don't care. This company they will just shut-off your service-Lock Stock and Barrel!! And they will pester you to no-end! I give my customers 60 days before I would even think of calling them!
This company has really forgotten who is THE CUSTOMER. They use to be a great company when they were Mobile One. It is also a very expensive service! I just heard today Kricket is $45.00 per month w/unlimited service. Not sure how it is but I doubt it can be much worse.
These cell phone companies can make you nuts! If it wasn't for the emergency aspect of having one, I am beginning to think we where much better off as a society without them!

Scam and fraud
Scam by t-mobile to sign up the week of november 23 2007. I signed up and now am getting the run around for my free flights... I have documentation, an email confirming I signed up on the dates required and also a statement which came in the box of the phone which clearly states also the date of signing.
I have written, called and have been promised this would be rectified and still has not.

bad customer service
After being a loyal customer of T-Mobile for over four years, I am ending my loyalty based on the rude and irreversible experience with them this June, 2008.
A phone which my brother had purchased and then changed his mind on, was shipped to me at my PO Box. I refused the shipment as I was instructed to do and then waited, and waited. Only to find that the
phone had been sitting in the US Postal Office and not returned as I had thought. (That is the separate issue with our postal service.)
The phone was finally returned to T-Mobile, the box had never been opened, the phone never used, never even looked at. Then after paying for my actual phone and data services, T-Mobile was requiring me to pay for this phone that they had just received back. Instead of refunding my bill for the full amount which is $214.00, they are asking me to pay this amount, now, that's right, after I do not have the phone at all!
My phone service has been disconnected by them for nonpayment of this phantom phone. Yesterday, I spoke with 4 reps at T-Mobile, one of whom named Gabriel, (they are not allowed to give last names) hung up on me. I never used profanity, did not raise my voice, etc. I simply asked if there was someone else of authority who could help me. No one was there that could help me, of course. I was informed that this was the T-Mobile policy, even though this was the first time I had heard about this policy.
What is most irritating, aside from being so rudely treated, is that real customer service is a thing of the past. You are not right anymore, by any means. You, as a customer, seem to have no real value as a single unit in the big sea of consumers. And customer loyalty is no longer deemed valuable or necessary. Unfortunately, I still have a glimmer of hope that maybe one of their competitors will offer me this and renew my hope. I certainly hope so.
I do still believe in staying with a great product or service for the long haul, if they are good and consistent. For instance, I have been a member of Bally' s Total Fitness for 20 years now, that's right, 20 years. So, when I do find a good one, I stick with them.
But, I now will not recommend T-Mobile to anyone based on my experiences. In fact, I will do the opposite, and will warn anyone who is ready to contract with them not to do it. Hopefully they will change, but I doubt that very much.
So, today I will shop around for a new service provider. I hope I will actually get service, the good and loyal and consistent kind, that is what I am paying for after all.

Customer Servic
I received a text message earlier today notifying me of a past due amount on my account. I am on T-Mobile's EasyPay system so they directly charge my credit card monthly. I was not sure why I would have a past due amount. I called Customer Care and the lady on the other end was very unhelpful and notified me that my phone will be suspended as of tonight. I asked to be transfered to someone who would be able to assist me and she hung up on me!
I have been an extremely loyal customer for the past two years who has paid the phone bill in a timely manner. This is the second time this year I have had inadequate and rude service from T-Mobile.
The first incident was when I was told I would get a new phone when I upgraded my phone plan, turns out either I was either lied to just so I would upgrade my phone plan or the second person I spoke to just did not want to help me.

Extra charges
T-Mobile has billed me extra $61.06 for Usage Charges (International Calls). I informed them that I had used my calling card for making those international calls. I had used proper access number and pin number provided by Calling Card Company. I gave them the details of my calling card. They have refused to waive off the charges claiming that the charges are valid. They have agreed that I had used proper access number and pin number provided by Calling Card Company. It seems their system is defective and they refuse to recognize it or correct it.

Sim card fraud
I was using my fiancée’s SIM and phone while I was in US, I cam back to India and had not used my SIM / phone for 3 months. In this time I lost my SIM card and someone in Bangalore stole it and made lot of local calls which I realized only after a month when I saw the bill of 1600$!! Now I have deactivated that SIM, however I brought a new SIM with same number as before from a local store, because I dint want to lose the contacts and could not afford another connection.
I have a list of all the phone numbers to which calls were made at that time when it got stolen. The SIM card was from T-mobile, and the customer care refused to help. I had even requested for a sim suspension before my travel, but they refused that I had ever made such a request. And I have no records of the request made now as i did not receive any request number.
Do you think it is possible to track the person who stole it and is there a way I can get him to pay my money back? If you cannot help, let me know if you know of any agency or department where I can report this and get help.
I appreciate any help you could offer!

Tmobile's defective handsets, poor customer service and negligence to resolve existing issues
Tmobile is a total rip off and i along with others are filing complaints with the bbb and ftc and you should too! Terrible customer service, they talk to you as if you're not the one putting out the money! Poor reception and coverage! multiple defective phones! And each rep you speak with explains something differently! Tmobile has got to be stopped! I am writing about the ongoing lack of support from tmobile. I recently purchased a phone within less than a 6 month period from tmobile (tmobile shadow) which was having ongoing defective issues. Tmobile did very little to resolve the issues and all they would do is send out another phone. overall i received what they would call a "multiple exchanges" and so a rep i spoke with suggested that I TRY the RIM blackberry pearl device. When I received the blackberry it too had a lot of issues, more dropped calls, terrible volume, poor features, less features, lines n the screen, the back light barely said on, tiny font although it has been adjusted, poor response, and it keeps erasing data saved by itself. I then called tmobile back only a dozen times to still be told different things. One RUDE rep noted my account that I would have to deal with the phone I DID NOT ORIGINALLY PURCHASE because TMOBILE HAS A DEAL WITH THE RESTOCKING COMPANY. but i DIDN'T MAKE A DID WITH THEM! NOR WAS I INFORMED THAT THE EXCHANGE WOULD BE MADE PERMANENT! Some reps at TMOBILE would not help me because i DIDN'T have the account holder's password at hand but gave my stalker ex boyfriend the name on my account along with other information! He couldn't even verify the account! Now tmobile is trying to charge me a restocking fee of 298 for the already purchased shadow because i returned the RIM blackberry instead! How is it that I am not only paying for tmobile's negligence but still have to stick with the rim's eye squinting features?!

They are terrible
I had T-Mobile 2002-2004, and I had an extraordinary large number of dropped calls. I let my contract run out, then disconnected by service. I ended up getting 3 "final" bills. I paid each one. When I got the third "final bill", I called customer service and complained. Customer service was very nice on the phone, and she assured me that this would be the last final bill. A month later, I got another "final bill" for $30. I was so mad that I did not pay this one. I never heard another word from them until 3 years later I was turned over to a collection agency. Now the bill is $300 because of interest.
