T-Mobile Poor Customer Care!
I bought two phones for a family plan on Sunday. By Wednesday one of the phones was broken. The screen was white with black spots.
I called into T-Mobile twice and they said I could bring it back. I made sure they understood it was broken. I called customer care twice, two different people told me I could bring it in.
I went to the store and was told by representative Dave at the St. Joseph T-Mobile in the mall that I was a liar, that I broke the phone, not the screen went out, and then he rolled his eyes at me when we called customer care to get it figured out.
Customer Care told me I could have a new phone. The store refused. Customer Care said they'd take care of it.
Two days later, I called customer care back. They say it's impossible to get it fixed, get a new phone, or cancel service because I broke the phone!
They said that they're charging me $400 to cancle the plan (it been 8 days) because I broke my phone.
DON'T GO TO T-MOBILE! THEY'LL DO ANYTHING TO CHARGE YOU EXTRA MONEY!!
Not even my complaints of poor customer service made it through when the guy rolled his eyes at me and told me I was a liar!
Now, I would understand if I HAD broken the phone, if it was my fault, or if I was being rude, but I wasn't.
My advice : FUCK T-Mobile. Don't use their service, just a warning, if you want your cell to work.

Scams
Every time I have a problem with a phone from T-Mobile they want me to sign a 2 year contract extension for them to fix their problem. I bought a Motorola phone and software, but the phone is defective and the software does not interface with the phone as advertised. These people are interested in company service and they have left customer out of the mix. When I am told they stand behind their products and services, it is a lie. Anyone seeing this 'be aware' of this trickery and bold face lies. They promise coverage, there is very little, they wish to upgrade my phone, when the one they sold me won't work. Anyone see a problem with this? When I call support they want to transfer me to someone who couldn't find a pin in a sewing shop.

No service
Im just appaled at the service y-mobile provides these. It has turned into an absolute joke! The managers at t-mobile are not properly trained and have not the slightest idea how to deal with a problem or a query. I have been on the the phone with a member staff from the business department who i was not very happy with, i asked her to transfer me to someone else which she was`nt capable/willing to do so! The team manager who`s name is ALEX HUGHES took over the from the member of staff then started to speak very rudely at which point i reminded him that i am a business customer and not an ordinary customer!. But he still continued talking very rudely, then i just told him get lost and terminated the conversation. T-mobile`s reputation and customer satisfaction has been going down and under for some time but now their telephone staff has turned it into a circus!

T-Mobile: A customer service disaster
I rely on cell phone to stay in contact with my wife in case of emergency and while traveling. Recently I came to Minnesota for a business purpose and since the last 7 days my wife, who is a busy doctor in New York, is unable to call me on my cell phone (but can call everyone else). We both are in the same family plan and each others Fav5. We call the customer service, account specialist, and technical support day after day and spend hours trying to solve the problem but to no avail. T-Mobile won't neither tell us what exactly the problem is nor when it will be solved. They don't want to compensate for emotional and mental distress (past one week and continuing) caused saying they don't compensate for "few days" of inconveniences and they don't allow us to opt out of the contract. One of the customer service recently told me:
"However she has been able to send you text messages, I understand that this is not the same as a phone call but is sufficient in an emergency situation"
It has been very frustrating for me and my wife and we want a service that we can truly rely on. But each time I tell them that they either provide me the service in full or let me go- they apologize for the inconvenience and then slam me with the contract. T-mobile is definitely a "world class customer service" disaster and extremely unreliable and potentially dangerous service and I would like to warn all those thinking of purchasing a cell phone service to be ware. YOU CANNOT RELY ON T-MOBILE. IT WILL LET YOU DOWN WHEN YOU NEED IT THE MOST. YOU WILL REGRET SOONER OR LATER IF YOU GO FOR T-MOBILE.

Blackberry Pearl
I purchased a blackberry pearl phone in May and became a new customer of T-mobile. About 3 mths later the lights on the key pad went out, so I was sent a new phone. When I got the new phone the software was different. This made it difficult to type because the keys would not type the letter I wanted. So I called and they had me run some tests on the phn. The representative told me it was the different software that was new to the model so she sent me a new one. So about 5 phns (same model) later, I was told that they would offer me a new phone. The only catch was it was not the phone of my choice, it didnt even have the same features as my original phone. So I declined the offer, and explnd the model that had the same features and price that I was willing to accept. They turned me down, but offered me the phn that I wanted for a price. THE SAME PRICE I HAD JUST PAID 5 MONTHS EARLIER! short story, my issue is still unresolved, I still have the same crappy phone and they are not taking any responsibility for there crappy phones! I want the phone of MY choice, and I dont want to have to pay for it! Its there fault, not mine!

They signed me up fpr "Easy-Pay"
On Sunday, April 13th my checking account was drafted for my monthly payment of $104.70 which was due on April 15th. This is the second time this has happened in the past two years. Neither time did I authorize the withdrawal. This time it caused $110.00 (27.50 x 4) in overdraft fees. I was told by three representatives since Monday that the problem was being handled and that T-Mobile was reimbursing the total of $214.70. Today I called for the status of my refund and was told that my request was denied. They said that I signed up for the “easy-pay” plan. Apparently, none of the representatives had the courtesy to inform me so that I could take other measures. I have been researching this and have found others that have fallen victim of what appears a scam. I filed a complaint with the FCC.

High balace bill
in Jan 12 2008 at 4:45am I been robbed, all my stuff had been taken, my cell phone & my car . Also I got some injuries in my body.
Then the police came to the crime location & they called ambulance for my.
I stayed like 7 to 8 hours in the hospital.
The first thing I did after getting out from the hospital was calling T-mobile customer service to suspend the phone service, but wile I was in the hospital the robber made an international calls for more than $500 .
I discover that when I got the first bill after the robbery.
Then I called T-Mobil customer service to solve this problem. But the representative said that I have to get a police report for that crime, so I sent a request for that report & I got it after 3 weeks. I sent it to them but they said it is not enough you have to get the hospital record; I couldn't because I didn't leave my information to the hospital after the accident.
In similar situation I called the credit card company after I losing my card & they cancelled all transaction within 24 hours of my call.
Right now I have two month of service suspension & extra late fees plus the original bill for more than $500

Fraud and scam!
I was formerly a t-mobile 'Sales Support Agent.' My job entailed fixing the mistakes of other sales representatives. I worked for the t-mobile client for a year and a half, most of which I hated both my own tmobile service and the service our customers received. There were times when I KNEW the company was 'pulling one over' on people and there was nothing we were able to do about it.
Now that I have moved on from that job I find myself as many other customers are; SOL. I had a dealer line of service that was supposed to be canceled, which it was, however as it was a dealer line of service I should not have had a contract. T-mobile itself acknowledges this but they have already sent it off to a collection agency! No contract, no cancellation fee, right?
Wrong. T-mobile tells me they can't touch it because it's been bought by a collection agency, the collection agency tells me that it's not possible that I had T-mobile service without a contract. I was a rep that would do anything in my power to help out a customer, no matter who was at fault, I only wish I could run into another agent like myself. The sales group for t-mobile over the phone reps were encouraged to sell it and twist what you need to if it gets you a sale.
Reps get credit for sales even if the customer cancels it out so they don't care about letting you in on all the details of 'trial periods, ' that gets too lengthy and messy. Sell, sell, sell! We were held to standards of minimizing call times for Sales SUPPORT calls but we were to do whatever we could to keep SALES calls going. As a former T-Mobile employee (I left the company on my own) and a current T-mobile customer I would NOT recommend this provider. Good luck to all those who suffer T-Mobile.
