About 2 years ago I went to tampa bay pain ctr due to pain I was having in my groin and lower back, by surgeon referred me to them. On one of my visits there I was seen by another doctor, my regular doctor was not there and this other doctor gave me a back brace, I asked if my insurance co. Would pay and he said yes. I took it off once I got home and never wore it, due to it being uncomfortable. A few months later I get a statement saying my insurance co. Paid over 400.00 Dollars for this and the company was charging me with the balance of 838.00 Dollars. I notified [the doctor] from tampa bay ctr and he informed me that the doctor I saw that day was no longer working there but he would take care of it.

Now a year or so later I got a notice from a collection agency regarding this. This agency calls my house 5 or 6 times a day and harasses me. I do not answer my phone any more. Tampa bay pain center is a rip off, they charge you thousands to have a spinal injection, separate cost for injection room, plus doctor, plus anesthesia. I had a injection last week in the hospital, my fees were only 10.50 For the hosp, a co pay of 10.80 For the doctor.

I do not see how tampa bay pain ctr. Can justify these charges, they are taking advantage of people thru there misfortune of suffering with pain.
