return policy
I purchased a pair of cherokee sandals for my eight year old son. He wore them to school and came home with a broken strap. I usually only visit Target once or twice a month due to the distance from my house, so I packed the shoes back in the box with the receipt. About a month later I attempted to return them and I was told that because they were not in a "new and unused condition" they would not return them. I asked to speak to a manager, who told me that I had had the shoes for a month and this is normal wear and tear on a product. I told her that it is not normal for a shoe to break after it's first use to which she replied, "so you say, " indirectly calling me a liar. Being that this is the second time this has happened to me in Target, (the first defective product was another pair of shoes) I knew to call the customer service line. So, I drove back home and called 1-800-440-0680 and explained the incident. First the customer service rep. told me that the item was defective, to take it to the store with the receipt and they would exchange it. I told him that 1) I had already tried that and was declined and insulted 2) I had already replaced the shoes and didn't want them and 3) this isn't the first defective shoes I have purchased from target, so I wanted a refund. He proceeded to tell me about their return policy. I told him I was aware of the policy and that I expect that a pair of shoes would last more than one day when I buy them, that I had no way of knowing that the shoes were of poor quality and I wanted a refund NOT an exchange. He told me that I should be able to get a refund so I again explained what happened at the store and how poorly I was treated. He put me on hold and when he came back he gave me a reference number which I had to use on the same day! So, I had to drive to the store AGAIN. This time I was left waiting for several minutes. The manager finally acknowledged me and said that "as a courtesy" to me they would do the refund this time, but that even with a reference number, the return is at the stores discretion. Needless to say, my time and money are valuable to me, so I WILL NOT be shopping at Target again. We have a Kohl's and a Wal Mart in the neighborhood, and they will be receiving the money that I used to spend at Target.

Lecherous employee
My girlfriend and I visited the Napa Target on Soscol and we approached an employee to ask for assistance. This employee was Eric, a large man with a beard. He answered our question, but he leered at my girlfriend the entire time he spoke to us. If this wasn't bad enough, he followed us around the store whilst pretending to re-arrange merchandise, continuing to leer. We should have filed a complaint, but he was quite creepy and we both wanted to leave as soon as possible. I have e-mailed Target about this incident, but I have decided to post here as well, with the intent of ensuring that the public know about this.

Improper refund/Rude
On June 1, 2011 My fiance and I went into the Target shopping for a bra for our wedding in July. She had tried on 15-20 Bras before she found 2 of them that she liked but wasn't sure which one would fit better with her dress. One of them was 12.99 and the other was 16.99. We got home and she immediately tried them on and the one that she liked was the 12.99 bra. She placed the other in the Target bag along with the reciept so next time we are in Albuquerque we would return it.
On June 16, 2011 we went to Target to return the bra. The clerk stated they didn't carry this bra and never have. My Fiance informed that we got it here and a manager was called immediately. They stated the tag was wrong and that bra didn't come from there. Then a gift card was given to her for 9.62. We didnt buy anything for 9.62, the prices were 16.99 and 12.99. As stated on the reciepts.
I then went in and tried to talk to these people and again was told this item didn't come from this store. I advised we got the bra here and if the tag was wrong, it wasn't my fault. They need to be responsible for items in there and to make sure the items are marked correctly. I advised the clerk and Manager I used to shop here all the time but with their unproffessionalism I will not be in any more. And just before I walked out the manager suggested looking at the cameras to see the problem. I took that as I was lying or stealing. I found that very insulting. I have been in law enforcement for 12 years and wouldn't waste my time or anyone elses unless I knew I was right. Thank you for your time in this matter, Jason Hunter

Rude Candy shopping
I went to the Madison Heights Target on Friday (2/18/11). There were 75% off signs everywhere. I got quite a bit of candy. When I got home I noticed that I was charged 50% for the majority of the candy I bought. I called the store and the operater hung up on me. I called back and I spoke to the GETL, Nicole who was very rude. She excused me of lying about having paid 50% instead of 75%. I went to the store and talked to Nicole in person and she saw that I was charged 50% on the candy. She told me that some vendors will not allow them to mark down below 50% and the candy I purchased were among the ones in the bunch. Without going to check, she said there were 50% and 75% signs back in the seasonal department. I ensured her there wasn't. She called the LOD and she backed her story up. unbelievable. I mean a dealis a deal but it's about the principal. I returned all the candy and will think twice about shopping at Target. It's becoming my least favorite store.

Store Policies
Target has lost another customer. I am 65 yrs. old and went to Target to purchase their brand of nicotine gum. When I got to the register clerk said she needed my license to input it into their computer. She said it was their policy rule. I refused to give her my ID and left their store for good.
If that's their policy, why wasn't it posted. I have purchased gum there previously and never asked for my license ID. When they take all our rights away, where will we go next!!!

I didn't get part of my product I paid for
I've been shopping at Target for years, on line as well store. I gave good reviews for survey. Target have good prices and product. A lot of my money went into Target. I never had any issues with Target until now I purchase $ 137.35 this day and I didn't get part of my item. The cashier notice that one of my item was defected, so she send me back to get another when I return all of my bags were package. Now she must have took another consumer in my absents or she place my bag on the floor? Whatever it was another person took one of my bags by accident. I return to the store with my receipt and told consumer service she then call over a person to check the video, after checking the video I was told that I had all of my bags and that was it. I left the store with nothing. For me its unfortunate, but Target comes out on top.

Employee Complaint
I am an overnights employee at target and i am tired of getting bullied by our new team lead George/horhay he abuses his position. Like I can't push the whole red side by myself, no person should feel inhumane like a animal we are human beings not laughing stocks. I wish he was sent to a different target, or terminated

Management could care less
I'm an employee of Target. I loved my job at one time. I had a "friend" that is a co-worker, who is a drug addict. I decided to stop hanging out with this employee because of his behavior while being under the influence. I have had threats against me, harassment and bullying, and now sexual harassment. This has ALL been done on the clock. I have called the integrity hotline and that was a waste of time. District did an investigation and decided it is all okay. I have several associates that have witnessed some of this and have went to the office with this information. They had to write statements that ended up being a total waste of time. This company could care less. The LOD's and ETL only care about themselves and their job. If they have to do anything that involves getting something done, they cower. I'm so sick of this harassment and have no other options.

Religious fanatic/sloppy packing
I was at the Balcones Heights Store that is within the San Antonio Metro Area. The checker kept pushing religion on me and she was a sloppy bagger. She mixed frozen with dry--ice cream and crackers. She is too busy pushing religion to pay attention to her job. This is also a violation of my First Amendment Rights to believe in nothing if that is what I choose to do. I do not need some lunatic pushing religion on me in a store!
