service
I was waiting in your store for two european clients i had dropped off who were shopping. i bought two items from the food court. as i was sitting a manager with glasses and a cubs jacket took a picture of me. im an african american female who was well dressed and wearing a name tag also i patronized your business at that time and on several occasions. im not sure if my race is an issue but i work for a hotel and drive guests frequently to target as well as shop there myself. im not a thief and by working at the hotel i know this is a typical procedure of suspected shoplifters if your manager at all suspected that i was indeed a shoplifter how dare he think such athing

The Complainers.
I just want to take the time to say how rediculous some of the people are on here. I'm a GSTL at a Target in Washington. Everyday I go to work, I have to deal with customers who think they are better than us. That they deserve some sort of special treatment and that my life revolves around them. I got my first guest comment card saying I ruined someones day and was very rude yesterday. This woman had childrens toys hidden under a coat in the card and she was already almost done checking out. I said to her "oh, lets not forget the toys" and I put them into her cart. Another thing, I think the return policy is reasonable. 90 days as long as the receipt is legible is very leniant towards the customer. How hard is it to make sure nothing spills on the reciept. Once there is no way to read the reciept, there is nothing the cashier can do to help you. The only option is to do a no reciept return. The other thing that angered me the most is when people come after the store closes and demand to be let in. The store is open for like 16 hours a day, why can the guest find time to come in then? We've worked long days, we just want to go home. I stand up for my cashiers, if a guest complains about one of them, I always listen to their side and then make a little defense for my cashiers. I think that many of the people in this website are just trying to get themselves some attention, I think they are being unfair to Target and the Team members.

Associate charged me twice for an item on a promotion
I purchased one Bounty paper towel and one Cheer detergent and two Charmain Tissue
paper that was on a promotion. The Associate mistakenly charged me for an additional
Bounty paper towel. When I realize this, I turn right back and went back to the store and went back to the associate to look at the receipt because she charged me twice. She agreed, and initial the receipt and told me to go to customer service. I explain the matter to the associate and and she called a gentlemen over to go and check my story. I was gone for a while I thought talking with the associate double charged me. I was informed the reason he was taking so long was because he was looking at the video. To make sure. I fekt like a criminal. Then he returned and said to customer service associate that I only recieve one Bounty paper towel. Because of the promotion and receiving a gift cards with it, which I used to purchase a vacuum cleaner there. I was not going to get my full refund for what she charged me. What an injustice. Because I did purhase the four items to get (2) $5.00 gift cards. Target Stores I know you can do better than this. Don't make yur customer feel like a criminal. Can not find Target's complaint section on line.

leaders
southhill mall target in puyallup wa. Don't shop there. It is run by a bunch of 12yr olds who don't have any life experience dealing with real people. They treat not only their employees with no respect but customers as well. It's a unpleasant place to shop. Who gives these children jobs in high places with no experience of life yet? It used to not be that way. New management is horrible. T-0342

horrible leaders
the management at the target in puyallup washington at the south hill mall target used to be so friendly and used to be such a wonderful shopping experience. I work in the mall so i am there alot. but not anymore. i have noticed a lot of new management lately and they suck. the feeling of the store is dark i can see how unhappy employees are. i think this place needs a makeover with the leaders. who is running this place? looks like a bunch of high schoolers who dont know how to deal with or treat real people. they are to young to be in a leadership position. many of my collegues have noticed this and feel the same way. we are no longer giving this target our business. when i inquired about who was in charge..Jessica 10yrs old? talks like she memorized her responses out of a guide..does not know how to treat people right or the employees..get rid of them. until then, you don not have my business.

Trying to get rid of over 40 non-Hispanic team members
If you work in surprise AZ at Target, be concerned if you are over 40 and non Hispanic. They will eventually get rid of you--and then good luck on getting the pay they owe you. There is never an HR rep available when you need one, and "no one else" can handle the issue. Don't work there EVER.

One woman who works there used to come in after I did, and would work to her work position and say good morning on the way--never stopped or got into conversations, just said hello as she passed. She has now been told she is not allowed to say hello when she comes in as it is a distraction. Nice place to work eh?

Wont produce copy of a receipt
I purchased 251.98 worth of Flex Spending medical products at target to use up FSA account balance at the end of the year. I sent my receipt to my insurance company and they claim they never received the receipt. Target will not produce a copy of the receipt when I bring my credit card to them, including the total purchase amount and transaction number. I should have copied the receipt in Target and put it in my LOCK BOX at the local bank, because I will never see that receipt again!! I am not happy with TARGET and have spent THOUSANDS at their store over the years. I am PISSED!!! Target's customer service to loyal customers is a JOKE!!!

over charge
Me and my mother stopped by our neighborhood target at Chicago Wilson Yard on 02-19-2011 looking for few things for her and me .She was looking for a humidifier, we were on the upper floor when I asked one of the employees for help to direct us to some humidifiers we were told they were out but she did dbl check with another female employee who said they were out as well, the back wall display is all out she said.I thank her and we moved on few steps later we came accross a display with humidifiers we grabbed one to a cart and moved on.We came accross the second female again in the store when I had approached her and informed her we had found the humidifiers she looked very suprised to hear that she asked where I tried to tell her where we seen it but I decided to take her to it so she can see it and maybe remember for the next customer that might be looking for a humidifier like us.When I pointed the items to her she again looked suprised and now said that someone must of just put them out there.I had to walk away from her I wanted to tell her that when we passed her the first time about 10 steps later we ran into them but I didnt I knew by then I was already talking on death ears. Then in a check out line half way to the check out we were asked how are we paying once we said using our credit card we were told to go ahead to scan our credit card through the credit card machine, we were not even ranged up completely to have the total showing but already we are told to slide our card.We get home I try on the items I bought and I look at the receipt to see that we were ranged up for kraft mac&cheese double, then the bras I bought were ranged up all at the same price when 3 tags are showing 3 different prices.I decided to call the store to report this and to find out what i need to do next to get this adjusted and get my money back.I was transfered to guest center where I spoke to a young female named Shanel I informed her how I was ranged up incorrectly and what I need to do she suggested I come back tomorrow with my items and receipt to get this adjusted, I asked which manager would be on duty tomorrow so I know who do I need to speak to she said she didn't know since theres about 5-6 different managers all I asked was who is on duty tomorrow again she said she didnt know i asked who is on duty today she said Eric, I asked to speak to Eric as she lay the phone down I heard her telling another female employee that I dont understand what she is trying to tell me and that I want to speak to a manger. This is when a Stephanie got on the phone and asked what can she do for me I advised her I was on hold for Eric she inforemd me Eric was occupied and she can help me I informed her that I speak english very well and that next time when her other worker wants to speak about a customer she might want to put the phone on mute so the customer will not hear her speaking of them especially when she is talking negative I guess someone is lacking common sense and customer service experiance I wonder how did she get into the position of guest deskclerk . I figured this would concentrate on nothing but customer service but maybe not .I asked her to provide me with a name of the store manager .She wasnt able to provide that to me I asked her for the corporate phone number and a name of a distric manager she gave me the phone number to corporate as 1-800-440-0680 and said Jeff is a distric manager I asked her for his last name she said she did not know by this time I was already getting very tired of not getting any answers to my simple questions and I asked her how can you not know your district managers name she then went ahead and asked me a question that just blew my mind she asked me if I worked for Target I answered her very quickly no then she said then you wouldnt understand .This was the end for me I told her I have the corporate number and I will be contacting them very soon to get some help.So there it goes OUR story of BAD shopping experiance BAD customer service and how TARGET employees were in a rush to say no we don't have and VERY QUICK to charge and overcharge us.

False Advertising
I never had an issue with Target until 2009 when I went to exchange an ill-fitting Christmas gift. I simply wanted a larger size. It had the tags on it still. Customer Service said I needed a receipt for exchange but since it had been a gift, I did not have one. Fine. In my mind I decided to never go back to Target because that was stupid.

Of course between then and yesterday, I'd been given a Target Gift Card. So I decided to go to Target to get some things for our upcoming trip - specifically, underwear [panties].

But before I could get to the "Intimate Apparel" department, while in the aisle, my eye was caught by many placards boasting "Mix 'n' Match Bathing Suits $14.99"... So I decided to have a look. [We're going to an island for our trip and for that price I could get another bathing suit, I reasoned.]

After a couple minutes browsing aisle side, I went to the other side. Found a cute suit in my size. But then my eye catches the right-handed placard above the suits [that on the other side had *Mix n Match $14.99*] that said *$17.99 tops/$14.99 bottoms*... But yet the left-handed placard [again and like what my eyes witnessed on several placards while in-aisle] said *Mix 'n Match Design Your Own Style $14.99*.

So I was confused. Many placards boasting Mix n Match $14.99 vs one placard saying $17.99 tops/$14.99 bottoms.

I looked at the separate pieces of my suit and see they both read on the tags $14.99.

So I head onto Customer Service. CS asked for clarification on my behalf of an employee who was walking by. I, again, explain my confusion due to the placards [hold up both pieces to her] and am told by this woman verbatim "The price on the piece is what you pay." (???) So I took this statement to mean [and I parroted back] .. (She actually was walking away as I asked for clarification...and started nodding after my first couple words...) "So, then, for BOTH, the total price IS $14.99." But then the beat of two. She stopped. Started shaking her head and clarified, "No. For EACH it is the price on the tag."

So after she continued walking, I told Customer Service who could care less: "Well those placards are misleading then." I swear she raised her eyebrows as if to say "I know!"and said: "That's why I asked her. She works in that department."

So I do not know who is ultimately responsible for the Display Cards, but it seems to me it's bound to garner a few sales with the Consumer inadvertently purchasing a two piece for double the price. And with Target's exchange/refund policy on intimates or bathing suits, not knowing what it is, I cannot help but wonder at how many people have inadvertently [under a false perception due to the numerous 'Mix n Match $14.99' placards spent money having no choice but to be out the money once the sale has been made.
