I actually worked for these jokers for two weeks. They are trying to charge nearly triple the listed price of the vacuum. There is a basic price printed on the box which the salespeople are told to not let you see, lest you rightfully demand that lower price. They gave us some BS about that while the Kirby Company has changed its prices over the last decade, they forgot to change the price listing on the side of the box, in all that time. (???)
While the Kirby itself is a decent vacuum cleaner, it is not worth nearly $3, 000! Also, one of my co-workers had a customer who got on ebay during his presentation and found one for just a few hundred dollars (same make & model w/all the accessories included). Also, whether you buy the thing or not-they sometimes leave the salesperson there on your property for up to an hour or more while they "check" on the other demo reps in the other homes. A very uncomfortable situation for all concerned. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
