i lost my c.d.l. liscense, because of a d.u.i., 1st offense, 1 arrest, and a spottless driving record until now in 48 years of life.i was in my private vehicle. i received p.b.j. 1 yr. unsupervised probation. a 45 day suspention if my c.d.l.and lost my senority, and job for that time period. got my c.d.l's back and went back to work, i did my time. i have 15 yrs. as a teamster, and held a dock bid by my choice, i hadn't driven on the road for 2 1/2 yrs. and enough time not to be forced on the street unless there where major layoffs. then the state took my c.d.l. again for the same d.u.i. fdr 383.51 states any d.u.i. in a non commercal or commercal vehicle shall loose the license for a preiod of one year, well here i am, not working because of a guide line in the n.m.f.a. that i can't hold my position because of this.thanks for siding with a stupid government law. i have over 20 years of safe driving in a commercal vehicle.i have been moved to 1st. preferd casual, and have not worked since 4- 14- 2009. i feel i should be allowed to hold my dock position, until such time comes that i would be forced on to the street, by a layoff and at that time and only then would it affect my job.i am about to loose everything i have .thanks for not protecting the last thing we have as a teamster's our senority.
