My 2004 Chevy Impala LS 3.8 L V6 engine failed due to a spun engine bearing at a mere 41, 000 miles, far below the 100, 000 mile power train warranty, but just past the 5 year coverage. I had all oil changes regularly at the Dealership where I purchased the vehicle. I had to pay for my repairs in replacing crankshaft, #1 connecting rod, and various otehr details. Consumer be warned about the quality of the "comeback car company" GMC.
