I attended Aveda institute and financed my training through TFC. Well I made timely (direct checking withdrawls) payments the entire time I was in school and about six months post grad. Well I, like most of America encountered financial challenges as a result of company cutbacks from my job. I immediatly contacted TFC and asked for a deferment/forebearance or something until I could resume making the payments. I was told that there were no options for me and either I had to pay it or deal with the consequences. Well I have a BA and MBA and have never heard of a private loan company not offering some type of deferment or payment options. But nevertheless TFC did not and now I am stuck with this crap on my credit . Please help or advise if possible
