Our area suffered a widespread power failure beginning during the late evening hours of Tuesday, February 1, 2011 and our power was restored at approximately 9:00 PM on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. When the power was restored, we were visiting our next door neighbor. Their cable service came on immediately. This is especially relevant because their line originates from the same pole as ours. I called Tech Support. The woman with whom I spoke refused to believe these simple facts. I called the following day and spoke with a very pleasant person in Tech support who promised that a repairman would visit between the hours of 8:00 AM-10:00 AM on Thursday, February 4. When no one arrived during that time, I called again and insisted that they send someone that day. Tech Support refused and apparently deleted the appointment they had made for me without my knowledge. I called again on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; each time with much the same result. I am sick of lame excuses and their failure to even call and reschedule. I am seriously considering ATT U-Verse but have little confidence that they will be any better.
