I recently brought my 2010 Mercury Mariner to Torrington Ford because my air bag light had come on. My car has never been in an accident so this should have been an easy fix or reset. In having to bring my car in 2 separate times I was given nothing but smoke and mirrors by the service department. They were unable to give me a solid answer as to why they could not fix this light due to what seems to be a faulty module. In gettting their explanations about codes and a bunch of other nonsense I asked if since the light was on is there a possibility that my airbags would not deploy and they said yes this was a risk. This was unacceptable for obvious reasons and my wife being 8 months pregnant did not help their cause. When I asked if there was anything that can be done they had the audacity to try to charge me for a part that may or may not have worked. I said to them that it seems that I am sol and they said "it looks that way".
