I made reservations at this Motel and even though I am cancelling a "year" in advance, they pretty much told me I am out of the $500+ that I spent on the room reservations. I have never heard of ANY Motel that did not have some kind of a refund policy, mostly when this room was booked for the Americade weekend when ALL motels are fulled to capacity. There is no way that they won't be able to re-book these rooms. We have spent a ton of time on the phone trying to talk to these people and their attitude is "too bad." That kind of money might not be much to some people, but for us it is MAJOR. Then to have to deal with a ho-hum attitude by the motel is very frustrating. I have called the Chamber of Commerce which can't do anything because the Travelodge is not a member of the Chamber...so I am filing papers with the Attorney General's Office. I have booked Motels for years and years and have NEVER had this kind of service from any Motel!!!
