	February 8, 2008 Scam lottery winnings! Someone identifying himself as Darren Lloyds of the UK National Lottery contacted me via e-mail to say that I have won 743,000 pounds. It sounded a little strange, but I answered their e-mail and gave my name and address. Today, they sent me the rates for shipping the package, which included the cheque, a laptop computer, and other odds and ends. Their rate for delivery in 5 days via TNT Courier was 545 pounds. I checked the rate with TNT on their website -- their highest rate for a ten-pound package (weight, not currency) was about 250 pounds.
