I received a letter from Ultra Lottery Commission notifying me that I have won about $65000 USD. 6% will go to the agent and a check of $1596 has been attached to take care of expenses for currency change etc.

There was an agent name based in Winnipeg, Canada mentioned in that letter. It was some A&M financial group. I called up the number was told that I won a lottery which I played in last 18 months online (I could not recall that). She further asked me to cash that check and send $1489 to some Joanne Robertson based in Nova Scotia Canada..

Further when I called the company named on the check in SC, they said that its a fake check as they have been receiving a lot og phone calls for the same issue.

Dont know whats going on? After reading some other posts I can say that this is also a scam but has anybody received something from the same company? What if I try to cash that check?
