I tried the Solar PIR Motion Ultrasonic Animal Repeller for one week with the rechargeable batteries enabled, observed the red indicator light to be on. It had absolutely no effect on the 5 squirrels within 5 feet of it. Thinking that the batteries were defective, I replaced them with new alkaline batteries and tried again. Again the red light came on. I have attached a photo of a racoon within 5 feet of the unit aimed directly at the racoon. The racoon stayed where it was for easily 8 minutes continuing to eat bird seed fallen from the adjacent feeder. The unit does not work at all.
