I am a Senior Citizen, I went to the Emergency room leaving my job due to a sudden bad feeling, anxiety, ???? Anyway, they tried to take a blood sample from my arm and couldn't. I suggested they take it from my hand with a butterfly and they said it was against procedures. I was so tensed I could not relax my body long enough so they could try again in my arm. I asked to see the doctor who only showed his face when I first arrived. The nurse who attended me said she was the HEAD NURSE. I then asked her for a blood sugar tester, maybe my blood sugar was low?? Now here I am in an Emergency Room diagnosing myself because the damn nurse wouldn't let me see the doctor until I gave her a blood sample. She couldn't get the blood because my body was so tense the veins could not be punctured correctly. She refuse to let me see the doctor, she refused to let me test my blood, and insisted I give her another chance to stick me again. After 3 attempts I figured they didn't know what the hell they were doing, so I left and saw my doctor the next day. I complained to the administration, they adjusted my bill. It's just that if a patient is unable to provide a sample after three attempts, there must be something wrong with the staff and not the patient. And if the patient wishes to speak with the guy in charge and the nurse lies about her status, (she was not a Head nurse) after all.
