Problems with delivery
Attempted Deliver Case of Wine ... day after day they deliver at 12-1PM ... no one home ~ would not accept neighbors signing or people working on the property. Caused wine to sit in 100 degree temps on a truck for 2 days. Refused to deliver later in the day ... why not? Spent 3 hours on the phone with UPS.

Then they wanted me to drive over 30 miles to pick it up. They really do not care ... what is amazing they will deliver Amazon books from 4-7PM to our neighborhood, but wine can only come when no one is home.

Delivery
UPS delivered a box opened. I watched through the window as he dropped it off and I came out to deny delivery but he left quickly. I called UPS and they said I need to contact the shipper for return, so my problem and UPS has no complaint department. We will no longer ship with UPS from home or business. When given an option on orders, no more UPS.

Drivers are too lazy to get out of their trucks
Every time I have a package delivered by UPS, they post "THE RECEIVER WAS UNAVAILABLE TO SIGN ON THE 1ST DELIVERY ATTEMPT. A 2ND DELIVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE " in the tracking information of their website... EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I work at home and they never even get out of their truck to ring my apartment EVER!!! I have to call UPS directly in order to get the package delivered, otherwise, the driver will continue to make no attempt to deliver and the package gets returned. Sometimes calling doesn't even work. One time I had to have a package rerouted because I could not be home on the final delivery attempt to sign and the driver left the package outside in a snow storm and did not ring the bell at that apartment either (IN THE MIDDLE OF CHICAGO)!!!

I DETEST UPS... DETEST UPS... DETEST UPS!!! I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO WORK FOR UPS TO GET WHAT I ORDER! Why don't vendors stop using UPS!!! They are way more expensive than USPS and they don't do what they are hired to do!!!

They threw my family pictures away
I recently sent a package to my aunt via UPS containing irreplaceable childhood vacation pictures in a handmade scrapbook along with several other miscellaneous items. I checked the status of the package on the date it was set to be delivered and the update online said that the package was missed at the terminal. The following day when I looked online it said the package was rejected by the recipient. I contacted my aunt and she confirmed that she did not reject the package. I then called UPS and was told that the package had been damaged and it was being returned to me. I asked it I could intercept and have it sent on even if the package had been damaged because most of the items were wrapped individually in plastic, so they should be fine. I was instructed to call the damaged items department and I was then informed that the entire package had been discarded.

They said that one of the items in the package leaked and all the items in the package were destroyed. There is no way all the items would have been damaged beyond repair since they were clothes and pictures and plastic wrapped.

I was given a claim form to fill out, which I did and the total of the items in the package totalled just under $ 500 which did not include the irreplaceable pictures that were lost. I received a call from UPS and was told that since I did not purchase the optional insurance, they would only be able to pay my claim up to $ 100.

I understand that I did not purchase the insurance, but find it hard to believe that there policy is to discard personal property without the courtesy of a phone call. The terminal was very close to my aunts’ house and she would have been more than willing to pick the package up, but again, I was not given the option.

Please help me!!!

Delivery of Damaged goods
BEWARE!!!
UPS damages goods in transit, then delivers it anyways and now it's YOUR problem.
The drivers are sneekie and liers.(CYA)
I will be selling all shares of stock. This Co. will fail with this kind of service.
United States Postal Service is the only way I will ship from now on

Driver damaged my house with truck and insurance will not pay
On June 3 2008 UPS made a delivery to my house. In the process of leaving the driver drove through the branches of a tree next to my house. It had been raining and the branches were hanging low. As he proceeded into the tree a branch snagged on his truck and also on an overhead wire. The wire was attached to the side of the house. The wire was ripped down and siding was pulled from the house. Liberty Mutual, their insurer refused to pay for the damages saying it was an act of "Nature". After contacting my lawyer, he told me it was useless to sue them in small claims court as they would have it moved to regular court and a team of their lawyers would put me through "***". Evidently this is the way they treat all claims against them.

Management
to all those that complain about UPS, 99.9% of complaints should go towards management. if you want to talk about people that dont give a shit then these are the people to complain about. i am a 16 year veteran with this company and management truly does not care about its employees and customers. its all about the numbers, put as many stops as you can on a driver and let him/her deliver all day and night. for all of you wondering why you see a ups driver so late at night its because management decides to overload a driver with work and leave him/her out there until he/she finishes. the drivers do care about their customers and want to give them the best service possible, but sometimes the job gets stressful, hard, or very tiring that the customer will get overlooked. you see UPS MANAGEMENT is like the BUSH ADMINISTRATION they dont care, they do as they please, there is no need to answer to you, they will happily take your money so as they sit on their fat asses as they await their bonus checks, and who cares about the employee. its the employees problem that they have a customer all up in their face. remember a driver will do as they are told by management. if not it is considered not working as directed and can be an automatic termination. for those of you that complain that a driver did not make an attempt, believe me they did, the last thing we want to do is go back to the same address the next day to try and deliver the same package. we have too much work to want to do that. also if a driver leaves a note on your door and tells you that he/she will deliver your package the next day by a certain time and they dont show up by that time, then i can almost guarantee that the driver has a huge work load put on by management. i can go on and on but i will stop for now and talk to all of you later, but remember, it is NOT the EMPLOYEE it is the EMPLOYER.

UPS
Angry UPS is the biggest inconvenience in online shopping. - Today, 20:40
I have ordered 2 computers in a row within 2 weeks of each other. The first one was lost (By UPS) that is why I had to order a second one. Now the second computer shipping takes the cake.

Me wanting my new toy so bad I take the day off work to wait for the computer. I check the website in the morning and it showed:

TAMPA,
FL, US 07/11/2008 10:42 A.M. THE PACKAGE WAS LEFT IN A UPS FACILITY / FORWARDED TO THE FACILITY IN THE DESTINATION CITY

So I call the 1800 number and they told me that I can go pick up the package at the shipping center. At this point I am already frustrated that I have to drive a total of 40 miles to get it. I call my wife and tell her to pick it up after work. She gets there and asks to pick up the package and they tell her it is on the truck... probably. She asks to check in the warehouse just in case, so they do so and come back and tell her yes it is definitely on the truck and it will be delivered before 7:00pm. 8:00pm she is home now and calls the center back to figure out what the hell happened. This is my favorite part:

"The package was put overnight on a holding Truck (18 wheeler) with a pad lock that none has access to. So it was not shipped out, so it was not ready for pickup nor for delivery." "If the people that have the key to the padlock find it on Monday another attempt will be made."

2 computer lost in 2 weeks, way to go UPSh1t (Brown excellent color choice).

Bad service
Over the years I've seen UPS go from good to bad. To save money and time they now only ring the doorbell, and leave your package at your doorstep. I once had a computer delivered like this, and couldn't believe it was just left there.

Today my package was delivered in a box that looked like it was straight out of the garbage can. I saw that *** delivery guy scurry away as fast as he could before I could answer the door. Unbelievable. Even if I wanted to complain, he was already too far to do so.

Horrible drivers
I live in Sun City West, a very quiet, quaint, peaceful city of 32, 000 residents. The UPS driver assigned to our zip code drives around with a boom box turned up as loud as he can get it. When he stops at my house, sometimes I am outside doing yard work, and I ask him to turn it down he just swears under his breath and ignores me.

I shop online at Amazon and Ebay, but will no longer buy from anybody who cannot ship to be by other than UPS.

The way to hurt UPS is to boycott them at every turn.
