Didnt explain clearly about returning if not satisfied
My wife did this not thinking clearly.she went for 30day trial. with the understanding she could return if not satisfied within the thirty days.her first few attempts they kept trying to get her to keep. she felt truely pressured by the representatives.they did finally tell her they would pay shipping with U.P.S. PLUS REFUND OF ORIGINAL 74.00.TODAY SHE ATTEMPTED AGAIN to get shipping info.well needless to say i got on phone and the rep was extremely rude. said we had to pay the shipping and that she would only recieve like 24.00 dollars of her 74.00.we are both disabled on disability.74.00 dollars is alot of money to us.so i just wanted to say that luminess is a scam ripoff.thanks for ripping us off you crooked s.o.b. please quit takeing advantage of people. and changeing things to your benefit.i think your company and product *** and is bullshit.thanks for being typical scam artist ***

non-delivery & customer reps abuse
I have used UPS for years and used to think they were pretty reliable. Not anymore. They do not deliver as promised, just charge exhorbitant rates for overnight or 2 day delivery. They don't follow shipper's (the one who's paying those rates!) instructions. I recently sent an urgent package and paid for 2 day airfare so it would arrive at our vacation spot for us to use while there. Sometime after we finally went to dinner (at 6:30) apparently the UPS driver arrived at our very secure condo and decided not to leave the package at the door--although the directions were clearly written in large red letters below the delivery address: LEAVE AT DOOR. He left a note of attempted delivery. What an outrage! If I wanted to receive it the following day it would have cost me $70 less to ship. Now I have paid almost double and have had no use of the items we so sorely needed...among them our food and shoes I need to wear to relieve hip pain. So, we haven't had breakfast in 2 days, and we've had to eat out at restaurants for dinner. When I called to complain I got the run-around from 4 different customers reps who told me it was my fault for not being there and that there "genius" drivers have the right to overide my instructions! These simpletons were rude and obnoxious, and could not seem to understand that delivering it the following day was a double hardship because I might again not be there. When I persisted and asked about filing a claim for a refund, they simply hung up! Each one of them! Is that a new way of doing business? Just for the record, I had dropped off the package at a main UPS depot (not a Mailbox store) and the "Brownie" who signed it in and took all my money assured me that the truck driver would follow my directions and leave it at the door. I intend to pursue the refund--even if I have to go to court. But, one thing's for sure... they've just lost a good customer. It's FEDEX for me from now on.

Still undelivered
Shipped my package on 1/14 to CT. It was a return so we used the address on the label, which was the UPS store. From there it wall went downhill. UPS store said the recipient didn't match the address in their system, so they rerouted. Turns out that was the wrong address. Someone signed for the package, but then returned it to the store saying it didn't belong to them. WTH? Fought with the center to get the address corrected and redelivered on their dime, since it was their screw up. Since then they have made four attempts to deliver. Out on the truck in the morning, back in the center by 4 because of "emergency conditions". Tried to deliver last Friday but said no one was available to sign, rescheduled for today. Out on the truck this morning, back in the center once again for emergency conditions. Rescheduled for tomorrow. That's their last chance. Will have it shipped back to me and try another courier. I'm done with UPS.

No delivery
The ups delivery (what a joke) person has a grudge. 4 times I have made formal complaints of not getting my package. Instead I get a note on the door. Even after filling out and signing, the next day a new note appears. The 3rd day, you get to go pick it up. This driver is union. and they don't care. THEY DO NOT DELIVER.
this is discrimination, this is harrassment. This is one company screaming for a class action suit. A neighbor has witnessed that same driver does not carry the package up, does not knock or ring bell, simply puts a new note on the door to replace the one he takes down and apparently throws away.

These idiots don't deliver
First, my package was delayed two days, due to (minimal) weather conditions, in which roads were absolutely drivable, yet UPS decided to delay regardless. It was then undelivered the next day, even though the "tracking" on their awful website said it would be rescheduled for delivery the next day.
At this point it is Saturday, and wow--big surprise--UPS doesn't ship to residential addresses on Saturdays, unlike their competitors! So, I patiently wait until Monday, and the tracking information is STILL not updated.
This is absolutely horrid service, and is completely unacceptable. I will refrain from using UPS in the future and will recommend the same to everyone I know. UPS is a sorry excuse for a shipping company and Federal Express or USPS will undoubtedly provide better service.

Destroyed My Antique Clock
Recently, I had a very expensive antique clock shipped to me via UPS. The clock was packed by a UPS store in Texas and sent to me in Washington State. When the clock arrived, it was completely destroyed. Now, the UPS store says that they will not refund the shipping charges. I sent pictures of the packing material to a professional shipper in California, and was told that it was improperly packed, which lead to the destruction of the clock. At this point, I will never use UPS or its stores again. They do not stand by their services, and have done nothing but stall the claims process.

No delivery
On 1/28/11 at 6:30pm my package had not yet arrived, UPS customer service said to just wait the package will come. I checked the website and the package was delivered to the UPS local site at 7:00am that morning, that UPS location is 15 minutes from my home. At 7:30pm, still no package, I checked UPs website and they listed my package as undeliverable beyond UPS control. I was home all afternoon waiting, the weather was clear, the roads were clear of snow...WHAT was beyond their control???
The customer service department would tell me nothing, no answers as to why my package wasn't delivered.
HORRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE & CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am calling Vendor and telling them to switch to FEDEX or USPS! Never Again!

Did not deliver, will not refund for their failure
UPS cites local poor weather conditions here in washington DC as a reason for not having delivered a 1 lb package--from drop to deliver a 6 mile trip. I called to check on refund options two days later--they said there are none because its "...the weather's fault the delivery failed".
FedEx on the other hand DID deliver, the same type of package, from a nearby drop to the same addressee--they did it on time, before 10:00 AM. When it absolutely, positively, has to be there overnight...stick with FedEx and dump UPS (or be prepared for non-delivery and no refund).

Incompetent, Indifferent and just plain LAAAZY!
In the 6 Years I have lived at this address, UPS has yet to successfully deliver a package to my door without me having to call to complain. The driver has repeatedly "tried to deliver" to a laundry door, always leaving a hopeless yellow note that they were unable to deliver. Of course, they are unable to deliver since nobody lives in the Laundry Room, duh. Though, I have complained multiple times by calling the UPS customer service call center, they have yet to correct the performance of this incompetant employee. It is insulting and infuriating that he continues to purposely not walk up the 11 stairs to my front door until I have complained enough that I lose my voice. In a current episode, I've called UPS to complain about a package "out for delivery" since Feb 1 (1Z5281860305932053 - it's now 9pm on the 4th and I still do not have my parcel though this package is only traveling a total of 28 miles!). I spoke with a superviser Rachelle #2595 with no resolution, then her supervisor Sean #5281 with no resolution, then his supervisor Rachelle #2968 who hung up on me after I was on the phone for nearly 1hr 20minutes to be able to speak with her (note: even if she did care enough to want to help me, UPS does not empower her with to tools to make clients happy - their "hands are tied"). I am fed up with UPS. I have filed a complaint with the BBB demanding that the driver on my route be replaced and that an executive of the company appologize for all of the grief that they've put me through. Since they do not care, I do not anticipate that they satisfy my claim so I am boycotting UPS! I will tell you all, and everyone who I know that I think UPS is the worst company on the planet. Entrust them with your parcels and you may get exactly what I've received over the past 6 years - lost shipments, stolen goods from outside areas, countless delays, damage, indifferent "customer service" agents, and just pure LAZYNESS.

NO DELIVERY/ LOSS PACKAGE.
I paid for overnight delivery, it was supposed to be delivered on 2/4/11, however due to inclement weather they could not come. i was fine with that. I scheduled a will call pick -up for today 2/5/11. Went to UPS, it shows in their system that it was supposed to be will call but the package was not there nor was it on the truck so I drove an hour each way, took a day off work yesterday since i had to sign for it and I still have no package. UPS is supposed to call me Monday 2/7/11 once they locate my package to schedule another will call pick up. I requested that the delivery fee be refunded. and they said I would need to call customer service. There is no phone # for UPS customer service. it just keeps you going around in circles. So I spent $16.25 on overnight shipping. and I feel that UPS should honor a refund to me. I would not be requesting the refund except I drove an hour each way and still no package. and now i will have to do it again on Monday.
