Tried to verify funds and could not get the banks (HSBC) cooperation. The check is written on an existing bank at the address for that bank on the check. When the representative for Urban-Aid asked me to deposit and not wait the 3-5 days(my bank needs to verify funds) I was sure I was being conned. I researched the phone number, 289-892-4318 and found no info. However I found another reported fraud that gave another number, 289-892-2974, and its longitude and latitude. I found those coodinates and the name of the two small towns near it were the names that showed up on my caller ID. Ajax-Pickering, ON. Ontario Canada! The bank address on the check is Buffalo NY and the Company address on the check is Rochester NY. The contacts name is Nick Robinson but, he has a strong Indian accent. He asked me to send cash to " Donna Zukowski at Brookln, NY branch office" The letter is well written and seems authentic. It is signed by Doris Foreman Director of Operations. The check also has a watermark on it and is signed by Michael P something.
