After receiving an offer for a credit card and certain benefits for the card of our choice. We filled out the application and was instantly approved for the promotion. We were given a credit line of 1000.00 and no annual fees along with bonus miles. More than a month later we received a bill that they had sent charging us a membership fee and reducing the credit limit putting us over the credit limit they reduced it to. That in turn created an over the limit fee and a past due fee for a payment of $5.00 that was due and didn't receive the bill for. After speaking with the company they informed me that we did not have the ability to chose the offer that they have the ability to chose for us and that is why all this occurred. Giving us credit for the fees they told us that the activity that was on the card has prompted them to reduce the limit. So be aware of the fine print as I was told.
