I purchased a jewelry box from a website called Valetstand.com. It arrived with a lovely note advising me to "enjoy your new jewelry box". It was nothing like what it was advertised. It was supposed to be rosewood but was some sort of plastic or lacquered particle board. I decided to return it immediately, but there was no return label or return instructions included with the item. I had to contact their website in order to get a return authorization number for return. I did so and no one ever returned my email. I have called them 15 or 20 times and no one ever answers and messages left have not been returned. This has been going on for over a month. Finally, I did talk to some person named Kate who gave me return instructions. I returned the item via UPS and emailed Kate to advise and never heard a word. It has been almost a month and I have not heard anything acknowledging my email and there have been no responses to my calls. Many of the reviews I have read regarding this company, are positive IF the merchandise is satisfactory, but returns are a joke. Buyer Beware! Do not do business with this company. There is no one home. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company that the merchant refuses to communicate with me and apparently will not credit my account for the unwanted item I returned.
