Bad customer service and charges
I had worse experience of my life with verizon. They disconnect my service because someone else called them to cancel my phone and dsl. I called them and they put me on hold for two hours. Called them many times and get my phone back but they are keep charging me for dsl from my bank account even I do not have dsl.
They don't want to listen to you and keep transferring you to other department [Shitiest customer service]. If you do the math they are more trouble and expensive. I will never recommend verizon to anyone "be away'

Customer Service LACKING
Can anyone please tell me why Verizon/ Verizon wireless has such horrible customer service?
We have tried to change to Vonage and they gave us problems. We've called about billing issues for our internet/dry loop and time and time again I am connected to a person (after minutes and minutes of automated nonsense) in BOMBAY, INDIA! We need customer service people who clearly speak and clearly understand the English language.
When they do connect to someone in the US they have attitudes, are generally not helpful or don't follow through on promises. I want to log a formal complaint, if this has not yet been done through higher powers. Many friends and relatives have similar complaints yer we allow these people to make our lives miserable. Why? Just because their NETWORK is reliable? NO! we have to have the whole package too!
We have to stand up to them!

Rip offs
After 4 years my cell phone vanished. I had taken out insurance. Verizon told me there was no insurance. It had been removed when I asked for internet service removal. The *** there offered me $50 discount on a new 2 year contract. I went with Metro PCS, no contracts or deposits, and canceled with Verizon. They told me I have to pay for a whole month more, even though I was one week into the new month. That's okay... I will let everyone know they rip you off for the rest of my life. Hope it was worth that extra 80 bucks they stole from me.

Fraud
My last two Verizon bills had a charge of 12.95 added to it. It said coast to coast voice mail. I don't use that service. I will file a complaint with the FCC if it is not taken off of my bill. Anything to screw the consumer. I am tired of it. I try and be frugal and there is always some co. or someone up to no good. I have automatic billing and I am sure I will be going through the meat grinder the next couple of weeks. I will cancel verizon next year regardless of the outcome. In fact I don't need a cell phone.

service
In July I had this bright idea: put all my telephone, cellphone, dsl and maybe tv under one bill; one company.
Verizon was eager to take the long distance service from att; but gee the dsl folks went home at 5pm and the telephone folks worked till 6; could i call back on monday to deal with dsl.
My dsl had been mistakenly listed as a business acct(too long of a story for here) and so i wanted to switch it to residentail. On my first dsl venture I was told that business and residential did not talk to each other and that switch was not possible. Three weeks later and 5 calls I convinced a technical agent that I had received an email saying my new dsl service was ready even though his screen said it would not be ready for 5 more days. He helped be work through the process to establish the service. After weeks of exasperation finally a competentent person.
One week later I go away for five days. I came home and no DSL service. and no phone service...and this is a "technology" company

Verizon lies
These people are slime. Their claims of $64.99 for DSL and unlimited call bundling are lies. My phone bill is climbing by about $12 every month since I went for the bait, and is now at about $100. Seems they don't have to keep their claims, promises, whatever. They keep finding fees, excuses, etc.; they know how to spin and do the ol' run around leading nowhere but to frustration for me. There seems to be no effective regulation. Whatever happend to government? They do what they want, and they don't have to care. STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON!
Is there a law firm out there ready to file a class action suit?

Repair and billing
I am SOO frustrated I am sending this on a wing an a prayer...
I have had Verizon for my home phone and Directv.
Since June 23rd, my phone service has been working only partially or for weeks at a time no service at all.
I had emailed them, someone finally came out around 5pm after waiting home ALL day for them.Supposedly fixed.It worked a few days and then worked intermittently.
I called them.We waited, finally a guy came and fixed it .It worked minutes and then was completely dead.I called his cell number.He came back and told he had been sabotaged and he could do nothing about it.Verizon would have to send someone the next day.I waited and waited.
I live in the country, no houses around me.I have a handicapped son.
I drove into town to use my friends phone to call Verizon.After waiting to talk to a real person, someone knocked on my friends door saying they just plowed into my 2006 Mustang.I had to hang up.
They sent someone last week.It worked a few days and now its dead again.This is unreal.
I talked to a supposed"supervisor" yesterday and he told me the bill would automatically take off the days I didnt have service.I said it hadnt.Well he said I would have to wait til my service was restored and then call a different number.
Also told him I was missing important business and Dr calls.He laughed and said I wasnt missing much with the business calls as he hangs up on them anyway...WHAT???? I was SHOCKED!!!
I am trying to find out how to reach a person that truly will help me and this situation.
From the things I have read, it doesnt sound too good for VERIZON!!! Scares me.
