Overcharge!
Had Verizon basic phone service, no long distance, and Verizon Broadband internet service. Has Fios installed June 2007. Agreed to Fios due to 69.99 bundled price. Was told it takes 2 billing cycles to make corrections in billing. Did not ever received bundled price. Made a phone call in September & bill finally changed to one bill, but Verizon re-billed for internet services prior to combining the bill. I waited. I phoned in October & I was told not to pay the over billed amount and they would review it. Nothin happened and next bill started adding late fees.

I compiled all of the information & sent it to the Verizon Advocacy in early January. As usual I have heard nothing and my phone rate is increased by without explanation. Naturally I would pay dearly to cancel the services, but it is my next plan. The billing office can only be reached during M-F, 8-5. I would have to take off from work to spend the time on the phone to talk to all those incompetent customer service people again.

Last summer we had a power surge which fried my Fios box. For 4 days I attempted to phone and or contact Verizon online. I had no phone or internet service at home. I received detailed instructions online and by phone on how to fix the Fios box myself. Finally I was able to get a technician who replaced the box. I have to leave work on 2 different days to get this done.

Terrible service!
I ordered a bundled package that included land line phone, DSL with 3mps, and satellite. First I was not eligible for the satellite but my $20.00 was taken and not refunded 2nd was not notified when service was turned on for the phone. 2 weeks later I phoned and was told it had been on for over a week... no compensation plus time missed from work as I was given a date when it would be "installed" Lastly the internet connection barely hit 1.5 mps which compared to dial up a family member has that is free from walmart. Canceled service December 14th within the 30 day "trial" I am still being billed for the DSL and being threatened with legal action for the phone portion. Getting through to someone is nearly impossible. After hours... yes HOURS on the phone I reached someone who could only "explain" the bills... duh! I was told I would need to call this number AND this number as everything is separate from one another. Once again this is taking hours I hold for in access of 45 minutes only to have the phone picked up and immediately hung up... which starts the process all over again. I keep trying to no avail. They were very quick to respond to my online inquiry about attaining service. Which by the way I saved to my computer for just this occasion. It was full of lies and empty promises. The rep online couldn’t help by the way had to call someone to actually get the service. Of course they picked up right away.

Overcharging, based on their employees fake information!
I spoke to a verizon operator who said a long distance call would cost $.25 a minute and she gave me numbers to dial in. I dialed those numbers to make a 2 minute call to vermont, expecting the bill would e $.50. Instead i got a bill for the 2 minute call for $6.40. A verizon employee gave me fake, false information. I would never have made the call for 2 minutes at that high rate. I don't know why you can make a call from america to china for 2 cents a minute and verizon is pirating $3.00 a minute plus for a call to vermont. Something is drastically wrong with this picture for this american invention.

Unauthorized charges!
I have never singed up for anything from this company before and i am being charged monthly for something that i don't use or know what it is. Something about ringtones!

Fraudulent charges!
We have already been charged 40 dollars in two months because of this. We have never even signed up for anything. It just appeared on the bill, and we don't even get anything sent to our phone. Verizon refuses to help in any way whatsoever.

Technicians not arriving!
On December 29, 2007, Verizon was scheduled to come to my residence between 8am - 5pm to install the FIOS Triple Play. The technicians never showed up or called. The technician did not have enough decency to make a courtesy call. My husband stayed home all day and missed work, which involved a day of not getting payed. Verizon, this is bad business. I've never had anything like this happen with the company before. In addition, I could not get the proper help/information from customer service, dispatchers, managers, and billing departments that were all involved. I spent more than 30 minutes on hold and then had to be transferred to another number which I was on hold again.

Terrible customer service!
Verizon FiOS has the worst Customer Service department that I have ever encountered. The automated assistance BEFORE you talk to a human is completely unprofessional and useless. After holding from 30 minutes to 3 HOURS and talking to a warm body - my issues still were not resolved. I scheduled a technician to come to my house between 1 and 5 pm - they showed up at 11:30 AM and left. It has taken me another 3 hours of holding and speaking to a technician and a supervisor to reschedule my appointment. Unbelievable. Completely unprofessional! I will be going back to COMCAST if this the way that the FiOS Customer service is going to be.

Past due phonebill
I received a letter in the mail saying that i owe money on a phone bill that i never had. Plus a place that i never lived at. I will contact verizon myself to get to the bottom of this mix up.

Fraudulent bill!
My son passed away on November 15, 2007. On Saturday, his widow received a threatening letter from Afni Inc. saying he owed $109.06 for a Verizon phone bill with a number they never, and he never throughout his life had. It was, according to them, under his name and address. She was hysterical because my son died with excellent credit. She asked me to call them and I did this morning. They refused to talk to me about it, saying only she could call. I said she is newly widowed and very upset, but they were very rude and cold, refusing to talk to me. This is a horrible thing to do to someone who just lost her husband, but to refuse to discuss it, forcing her to have to deal with it at a time like this, is cruel.
