Wal-Mar Rips You Off on Prepaid Cellphones
I bought a Net 10 prepaid phone because the price per minutes is set at 10 cents. I also bought 400 minutes. After about 3 months, the phone stopped working. I paid around $50 for the phone alone. I attempted to return it to Wal-Mart in Stephenville, Texas where I bought it, but after talking to an assistant store manager and several electronics dept. "associates", they refused to refund my purchase price. The "associates" even admitted the phones "are a piece of crap" (their words) yet they sure don't mind suckering people into buying them. I ended up with a worthless phone and a lot of minutes, also non-refundable. Keep in mind that Tracfone, the biggest ripoff in the world of prepaid phones, also owns Net 10. It's just another avenue for them to ripoff people around the world. When you buy minutes from Tracfone or Net 10, you will NEVER get a refund on airtime bought, so you would have to be an IDIOT to buy one of their "year" plans. If anything goes wrong, which is almost guaranteed, you're screwed!
And Wal-Mart is just as big a ripoff for selling merchandise from such scam companies that provide the poorest customer service on the planet. And by the way, the "associates" at the Stephenville, Texas Wal-Mart will do ANYTHING to avoid you if you simply ask them for help of any kind. They are very unfriendly. They have a grouchy old lady working in electronics that looks at you like you're a common criminal if you're shopping, yet never bothers to ask "May I help you?". They should have gotten rid of her long ago.

Bad service
Over this past summer, I had a baby, and due to medical negligence, I got a terrible infection. Anyhow, after my first round of antibiotics were done, I had to go get does 2, so even though I wasn't feeling particulary well yet, I did need some things at Wal-Mart, and I did need my scripts' so I figured I'd kill 2 birds with one stone. Basically, I did overexert myself at Wal-Mart, I had just had a baby two weeks prior, I was recovering from a terrible infection, and yet I was throwing around a 20 pound bag of cat food and a 30 pound bag of dog food..anywho, it was time to turn in the prescriptions once I was done shopping. I go to the drop-off window where an older woman is just finishing up (so I know the pharmacist saw me). The old woman finished and the pharmacist is writing something down and looking at her computer screen..she didn't acknowledge me ONE TIME in the 15 MINUTES I was standing there, she nor I moved an inch! I couldn't believe how rude she was! I'm the type of person, who figured, well, I don't want to bother her, she looks busy, eventually she will get to me..but guess what, SHE DIDN'T, and she didn't even say hi, or say I'll be right there. Finally, I was just so mad that I left (I should've complained or been more assertive), but at that point I was so weak, and the antibiotics were so strong, they REALLY UPSET my stomach if you know what I mean. Anyhow, my granda has also mentioned that she hates that pharmacy..she says they always mess up her prescriptions, and that she has trouble getting there attention too.

customer service
To whom it may concern: I am writing you this letter because I am very disappointed in the Wal-Mart at town and Country in victoria. I realize that they are renovating but I feel that they are not accomodating the customer. My family and I spend a lot of money in this store and it is very frustrating that you cannot get the product or service that you should be getting. When you ask for help you either get snubbed or put off to someone else. The service in this store has dropped trumendously and as for the product, there is none. I have been buying clothes for my husband and myself for over 4 years there and up until now I am not able to. They used to carry big and tall and now you can, t even find it in the store. When you go in for a perscription you are told 20 minutes which turns into 1hour it is just terrible. I guess customer service sure isn, t what it used to be. I was in there today and asked a lady where the tents were she pointed me in the direction and walked away. When I went back to look for her to tell her I could not find the tents, she snapped at me and said mam I am looking for them and trying to help you! I am sorry but I do not think she tried to help me, when I looked through all the iles myself to find that they did not even have one tent in the store I left and walked out. To bad they lost a sale. I guess I feel that the customer service should be more than it is, but I also feel that the product should still be coming back into the store even though they are renovating. I sure hope that when the new store is up and running that they will be more polite to there customers, and that the product will be in the store, maybe then will I return to see what kind of service I will be getting.
sincerely

Fraud and scam
My wife used the self check out at a Hot Springs Wal-Mart. She entered her cash into the machine. The machine did not register the last twenty dollar bill that she entered into the machine. She asked for assistance from the customer service representative. The customer service representative explained to her that my wife entered a ten dollar bill into the machine instead of an hundred dollar bill. My wife had entered an hundred dollar bill before she entered three twenty dollar bills. The machine even agreed that the hundred had been registered. The machine was only giving her credit for 140 of the 160 dollars that she input into the machine.
The customer service representative closed up the machine and advised her to enter another twenty dollar bill. In short, my wife ended up paying an extra twenty dollars to Wal-Mart due to the inaccuracy of the self checkout machine and the incompetence of the customer service representative.

Worst consumer service ever
Returned a Bicycle we had purchased at Wal-Mart a few days earlier. Bike still had all of the original tags, paperwork etc. and tires had NEVER been on the ground outdoors since it was purchased. Customer service manager informed us they did not accept returns on bikes. I pointed out that the sign hanging behind her listing the items that they would not accept returns on and bicycles were not on the list. She said it was a new policy. I told her I would like to speak to the manager and she informed me she already had and he told her not to accept the return. I requested she have the manager come to the front of the store and speak with me. She got on the phone with the manager and told him in Spanish (which I understood) "There was some !@#$% demanding a return and could she just give it to him to shut him up"? She then gave me the return. This store is constantly dirty, rude, understaffed with cashiers, and next to impossible to get an Associate to help you. I'm a very discouraged and frustrated lon-time Wal-Mart customer that they are losing.

The photographer Jana
I had an appointment for my granddaughter to get her 1st. birthday pictures done. And I was like 40- 30 min. early. My appointment was at 10:30 am. Anyway I had my youngest daughter with me, and she said mom I thnk Rileigh need s to be changed.(her diaper) I toldthe lady that I would be right back and I was sorry. She had a green drape down and I asked my daughter if she would ask the lady to please change it cause I didn't want that with the birthday background because it didn't match my granddaughters dress. And while I was gone to the restroom my daughter said that the ladygot mad about it . Then
when we got back to get started she acted like it was a bother. If I would ask her a question. Then after the session and it was time to view the photo's she kept presing me to buy this package or that one. I said would it be alright to see a cheaper package. Then I asked her if they could put all the poses on a disc and I could order more later. She said well we don't have any we are out, we are going digital & I said oh, that is the same thing they told me at christmas. So I said well could I just order these poses 012 02B R0228 & 012 03 C R0337 because I like them the best and I don't have alot of money right now. She kept saying well you have till Sat. then you can get none of them. She said yo can't use this 20% off coupon if you don't order more picture today, I said oh. I have a club mem. card. I don't know what was wrong with her.
We were as nice as we could be. I just felt like I was being a bother to her. She couldn't even smile. Hope to hear from you soon.I have dealt with Wal-mart picture studio since my girls were little because the prices are affordable. My oldest is a mom & she is 18 1/2 yrs. old my youngest is 17 yrs. old. Thank you for your time. I have never been treated so rudely.

Racial profiling
Racial profiling when leaving the store, having my bag checked because I am Latino. I’m complaining about why my bag gets checked for no reason. I buy and cash out and leave the store like everyone else. I have quit shopping at Wal-mart, K-mart is just a little further down the road.

Keeping our money
I bought a chase lounge chair for Mother's Day.
I bought it in the garden shop and don't remember being handed a receipt and didn't care much about it because it was a gift that had been asked for.
So, the Mom changed her mind and I went to return the lounge and get what she now wanted. I had paid cash and they gave me a card.
So I got the new gift and tried to "cash out." They would not cash out the card, because "It was from an item returned without a receipt."
I explained the situation to the manager (Poway CA store at about 5:00 PM on May 6, 2008) and he said, "Too bad, there is nothing to do but for you to spend the amount left on the card."
I asked him for the scissors sitting on his stand up desk and cut up the card.
Funny thing, but I had to go back and get the receipt because they had forgotten to give it to me.
Wal-Mart, you have become the very type of store that Sam despised. Congratulations! And during this recession and the coming depression may you be the first big chain to fold.
Oh, and by the way. . . the "complaint" email address for the walmart.com? It doesn't work - every time you click on the word "email" it sends you back to the homepage. Wonderful gimmick, eh?
