The only Walmart in my area that has a fabric and craft department is fazing it out
The only Walmart in my area that has a fabric and craft department is fazing it out. The store will be remodeled next year. We have no place to buy fabric the closest store is 20 miles away and is so much more expensive. I used to spend about $200 to $300 a week at Walmart, But now I very rarely go there these days. They boasted about buying American made products. I won't even look at the clothes, they are terrible!

I enjoy sewing, so now I have to drive 20 to 30 miles to find the things I need. One stop shopping you are not!

Customer Service
I just had to get this out there after after being shocked by the lack of customer service I received from Wal-Mart. Here is my story:

I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and purchased some ground turkey logs to use to make turkey burgers on the grill. Well I cut open the package and squeeze the meat out into a bowl and I am immediately met with a very fowl odor. Actually that description doesn't do it any justice. This completely REEKED, like to the point where I'm boderline gagging. I look at the meat at its a light green color. I look at the package and it says use by 6/7/10. It is 6/14/10. Completely disgusted I put the rancid ground turkey into a plastic bag and tie it up and then I put that bag inside another plastc bag and tie that up and put it outside in the trash where it will have to sit in the blazing heat for 4 days before my trash is picked up.

So I get the phone number to the store from my receipt and call them. I explain the situation to a girl there who tells me to bring the meat back to the store. Uhhh, ok I'm not carrying rancid meat with me and putting it in my car. She says she understands, can I at least bring the package. Again I explain this was a ground turkey roll and I am not going to fish out the package which again would contain bits and pieces of rancid meat. She then says ok, that is fine just bring in your receipt and "we will take care of you." I take down her name and write it on the receipt and tell her I won't be able to go until tomorrow. She says that is fine.

So I go in to the store store the next day and go to the customer service counter. I explain the situation and give my receipt to the girl working at the counter with the name of the girl I spoke to written on it. She immediately just starts shaking her head and saying no, you have to bring in the product. I again ask her to use common sense and consider that my product is rancid fowl smelling meat that I immediately threw away packaging and all. I spoke to the girl whose name is written on the receipt and she told me it would be fine to just bring in the receipt and she acknowledged she knew her but then says well she knows we cant accept a "return' without the product or packaging.

At this point I tell her look its not about the damn $3 or $4 its the fact that I bought a meat product from the shelves of this store that had expired a week ago and stunk up my entire house and had me on the verge of puking and someone needs to know about it. She says hold on let me get my managaer. manager comes over, I again go through the whole story and get well I'm sorry but without the product/packaging there is nothing they can do. I then tell him they are going to lose a customer over this and he just keeps repeating the same lines. I walk out disapointed and amazed that they would actually treat their customers this way. I am now officially done shopping at Wal-Mart for ANYTHING.

perm did not take
i went to wal, marts beauty salon to have my hair cut and permed on 6-8-2010 i told the hairdresser that i wanted a cut and perm for my sons wedding i was told it would be about $65.00 plus the hair cut the girl took me and shampooed my hair and repeatly kept saying how thick my hair was she then took me back to the chair and proceeded to roll my hair for the perm i told her it would be easier for her to cut my hair first then roll it but she insisted on rolling it she put about 10 -15 rollers in my hair and then decided that it was to thick she then tells me i would have to have a spiral perm which would cost about $85.00 i told her that i guess she wuld have to do something i was sitting there with not only my hair soaking wet but also my shirt she finished my perm when i was done she told me to wait 48 hours before shampooing my hair i left with my hair and shirt soaking wet i waited until thursday eveing 6-10-2010 to shampoo my hair it was alittle wavy but no curls i retuned to wal mart on monday 6-14-2010 i told the lady when i had the perm and what kind of perm i had i said as you can see i dont think the perm took .she touched my hair and said well i can wetten it and see how much curl you have i told her no she could see how much curl i had she then asked me what kind of shampoo i used i told her i used suave shampoo she said well right there is the problem wal.mart policy is if you have a perm here you have to buy the professional products they sell i was never told that. i walked out of there very upset and dissatified i thought they would either return my money or do another perm. i live on a very limited income i will now have to try to give myself a perm before my sons wedding

Stay far away from Wal-Mart
Walmart as been known to sell everything from food to clothes and beyond. That does not mean they are a good store. The other day I went in, hoping to buy a Sweeney Todd Soundtrack, the one with Johnny Depp, and the matching movie. I wanted these things because I love the music. When I went to get them, I couldn't find it. I asked an employee and he looked but they didn't have it. I asked a few people and they said it was because of strong language. SO WHY DON'T THEY CARRY IT? They sell movies with strong language, and they sell movies with nudity in it. So why do they not sell a soundtrack and DVD for the musical Sweeney Todd? The strong language thing is crap being that they sell stuff much worse then Sweeney Todd, and it has only a few words of bad language. The closest place I can get it is over thirty miles away, so I can not afford to go that far to go to Best Buy to get one CD.

Unbelievable rudeness and unprofessional
I am complaining about the service that I received at the Walmart Super Center in Cushing Oklahoma, I just tried to return an item for an exchange and was denied, the clerk a girl named Connie took the item a couch cover, opened it up and then told me it was dirty and they would not take it back, this was impossible, she opened it.

The clerk then stuffs it back into the container and tells me she can not help me, the only one who would have made the item "dirty" would have been the clerk by removing the item from its packaging and dragging it across a lint covered counter as would be shown in the store videos.

Because I have a slight learning difficulty and did not know why this clerk Connie had treated me in this manor, I had my assistant call the store manager and complain, he spoke to a person who identified herself as Terri, she took the report of mis conduct and said she would contact me back, a couple of hours passed so Walmart in Cushing was again called and this time I had my assistant speak with another Walmart employe who identified herself as Sissy, this person offered to defuse the situation and allow the return although she knew the item had to be dirty " as if she could tell with out being there", the clerk Sissy made this statement several times on the phone, even suggested that I shake it off!, now remember she has not personally seen this item.
I still have the item and have witnesses that will say it is not used nor dirty.

Although the money is important it is nothing when compared to the rude, unprofessional conduct and complete disregard other human beings and lack of human kindness that the management of this store has shown is un believable, There attitudes did change when they found out that they were being reported to the corporate office and complaints filed with organizations for disabilities.

The assistant pharmacist was rude and insulting
On March 31, 2010 I went to the Wal-mart Pharmacy on Kietzke Lane in Reno, NV to get a prescription filled. I gave the assistant pharmacist my insurance card. He went to the computer then came back and told me the card expired in January 2009. I thought this odd since I had just received the card in the mail.

I asked to talk to the head pharmacist. The assistant pharmacist became rude and insulting. The head pharmacist came over. I told him that I had just gotten the card in the mail and asked him to run the card again. He refused.

The head pharmacist went on to tell me, "This is my business and I'll do whatever I want. I'm doing you a favor by even helping you."

I replied, "I'm the one doing you a favor by shopping here."

I then went to get an assistant store manager and explained the situation to him. We returned to the pharmacy where the pharmacy manager, Steven, proceeded to insult me and tell me how he was doing me a favor." The assistant store manager stood silently by while the pharmacist, Steven, berated and insulted me.

When I returned home I called the insurance company and was told that the insurance card was indeed valid.

Not only will I not return to this pharmacy, but also I will not shop at any Wal-mart. What this store's management doesn't realize is that I have many choices. I will not shop at Wal-mart. There's K-mart and Target and Walgreens's, and Sears and lots of other stores.

Up until this time I had been spending about 75 dollars a month on prescriptions and an additional six hundred dollars a month on groceries and sundry items. Now I will not even enter a Wal-mart.

You have lost a customer for life.

Arrogant attitude of Walmarts managers & policies
A few weeks ago My wife had a dead battery in her van. She happened to be at the Hallie Walmart. (Near Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire WI). She had purchased cold perishables. When she called me for help, I said ... Ask if they (Walmart) can put the items in their cooler until I can get there with a new battery or jump start her van.

Well... The greeter (we know this person, he is a neighbor) and a clerk both stated 'we would like to, but if our manager sees or discovers we did this All Hell would break loose'

*I have no problem with the greeter or clerk... just the Arrogant Attitude of Walmart's Managers & Policies.

My wife had to Buy some insulated Hut/Cold bags. Well... I suppose she could have "Returned" ALL the items she purchased.

I AVOID Walmart (Like the Plague).

There have been times that we have gone to this walmart store and some of the rx's were not filled
We have been filling our RX's at wal-mart for quite some time, and have gone through some strange things, that we have overlooked but today we really had a problem my husband is disabled, on oxygen with copd, also cancer also we are both over 60yrs old, when we tried to go through the drive in window to pick up a pain rx for him we were told we would have to come in the store, even though this is your busiest store in Md. even though we have a handicapped tag there are never any handicapped spaces open and this means we have to walk quite a long way, this puts a lot of strain on my husband;s health. we had been getting the rx through the window before but today they would not fill the rx and let us sign for it through the window. there have been times that we have gone to this walmart store and some of the rx's were not filled, also there was a time that we were given the wrong person;s rx, we were told to just thow that rx away and come back and get our rx. this could be very dangerous.there have been times that the pharmacy has filled some of the rx's twice and not filled the rx's that were ordered. I feel there should be some kind of allowance for handicapped patients, and not the cold unfeeling treatment we have received in the past. the pharmacy in question is the George Clauss blvd pharmacy in Severn md. please try and do what you can to correct this problem we will probably not want to deal with this pharmacy until this is addressed.

declined govt check
Tried to cash a united states treasury check for my retirement annuity and it was declined. All certegy says it is declined for unspecified reasons. Can't even talk to a real person. It is becoming a more intrusive way to get you to direct deposit. Then any time a govt entity wants to it can access your account and take what they want.
