Have you ever been in two minds for such a long time that you felt stuck? What was it like for you? Did you feel trapped in your thoughts and feelings? One minute trying to just make the best of things and the next looking for a way out of the situation.
Did you start to question yourself, wondering if moving forward would just lead to disaster? This is what happened to me when I was stuck in my marriage.
For so long I tried to make the best of things. I worked on the relationship and myself and I would get to the point of feeling ok for a short time. In the end all my efforts just led me to feeling more trapped and less like myself. I tried talking to friends, couple’s counselling, distracting myself and even minimising my own experience, none of it worked. I felt like I didn’t have the courage to move forward.
